"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. The location couldn't be better—an easy walk to shops, restaurants, bars, historical sites, and even a grocery store. The hotel itself was quiet, clean, and very comfortable, with a warm atmosphere clearly geared toward an American clientele. The on-site restaurant was a highlight: elegant setting and truly excellent food. Although there’s no elevator, the staff kindly helped us get our luggage upstairs, which we appreciated. It’s something to keep in mind for those with mobility issues, but it didn’t detract from our experience. Our only regret? That we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommend this lovely hotel in the heart of Bayeux."

"This was our base during our visit to Normandy. Located in a central location to restaurants and shopping, it was a lovely historic hotel. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan - which was great. Staff was courteous and helped with all our questions. Taxis are readily available to get to the train station. Will stay there again should we ever find ourselves in Bayeux. Exactly as described. "

"Very nice quaint hotel near the center and a block from the cathedral. Walkable to all the main points of interest and to pick up spot for many tours. Helpful staff and clean rooms of reasonable size. Breakfast was simple but typical. "

Staff friendly, clean hotel, lots of parking, short drive to town, nice location and surroundings. We didn't eat at the restaurant as didn't like the menu."
