  • Sunset from Grand Isle State Park, near the southern tip of Louisiana. We didn't know you could drive 1.5 hours south of New Orleans, but you can to reach this beautiful state park. Grand Isle is mostly a summer community but it was sunny and warm and nearly empty for us in early March. The RV park was a great place to stay -- one of our favorites, right next to the beach and with nature paths nearby. We walked on the beach by day, and grilled burgers and sat by the campfire at night. Grand Isle Getaway

Great location for a family vacation, just a short distance from the beach. Greatly appreciated the property management allowing us to check in a couple hours earlier.

Weekend grand isle getaway

Location was good. Not far from grocery and very near public crossing to access beach. The accommodations were sufficient but for the price would have thought would have been more amenities considering could have rented on the beach for the same amount.
