Great downtown location in one of Grand Haven's most famous historic homes

Newly renovated (2017) and furnished upstairs apartment in the former servant's quarters of the Edward P. Ferry Mansion, built in 1870. Listed on the National Register of Historic places due to it's unique architecture and connection with the founding family of Grand Haven.

Grand Haven was nationally recognized for having one of the top five beaches in the United States, by Good Morning America. The city has over 100 miles (160 km) of bike trails, a state beach, boardwalk, two lighthouses, a pier, wharf, large charter fishing fleet and a Great Lakes port, where it imports limestone, slag, cement and coal while exporting sand. Grand Haven is also home to the United States Coast Guard's "Group Grand Haven," which coordinates all Lake Michigan Coast Guard activities. Grand Haven is the only city officially designated as "Coast Guard City, USA" by an act of Congress.

Wonderful house and neighborhood

Great 4th of July stay!

Cute apartment on the upper level in beautiful, historic home! Owners Kurt and Wendy were very friendly and accommodating- they lent us a bike, cooler, beach chairs……..anything we needed!!! We were there for the 4th of July and had the greatest view of the fireworks right from the apartment!!!

The apartment was fantastic as well as the hosts! Spacious, clean and well stocked for visitors. The outdoor garden was relaxing and a great place to unwind. The apartment was walking distance to everything we wanted to go to-great location! We hope to return!

Quiet and lovely apartment.

We loved the long strolls through the neighborhood and to downtown Grand Haven. The apartment is the perfect size for a couple and they have plenty of towels and bathroom products. I even saw a few curling irons. Nice touch. Very private location and a sweet doggo named Stevie is a pleasant touch. We will be back to stay!!

Magical coast guard week!

We loved staying at Kurt and Wendy’s place for coast guard week - we walked our kids to ymca camp each day and it was a perfect spot. Apartment kitchen is well outfitted - good pots and knives and you know that’s not typical! Really nice to have snacks and coffee all there when we arrived and cold wanter bottles in the fridge. Bathroom even had hair curling iron and straighten tools in addition to hairdryer and shampoo etc Very thoughtful family!!

Great Location - Charming - Wonderful!

What a great place to stay in GH. Close to everything. We walked all over town (over 10 miles in steps in one day just exploring the gorgeous neighborhoods, shops, lakefront, and more!!) Photos don’t do this home justice - truly a gorgeous home and gracious hosts. Quiet, clean, convenient to town. Perfect for our short stay but would be great for longer. Enjoyed relaxing in the secluded patio area - and loved the resident dog! This was our first time in GH and won’t be our last - and will certainly look to stay here again….or maybe move to GH and stay permanently! 😃

Stay at the Ferry House in Grand Haven!

Beautiful historic house close to the beach and can walk into town. The outside bar was great! The owners were very nice. I'd certainly stay there again.
