This was our second time at this place and enjoyed it very much. The place was very clean and had comfortable beds and a new couch with pull out bed. Convenient to many dining options and a short ride to the beach or walk out to the pier.

Fantastic downtown location!

Wonderful downtown location. Walkable to Farmers market Marina restaurants shops. Our kids loved watching the music fountain off the balcony!

Fall Fun

Our family enjoys Grand Haven in the fall. This is our 5th year at the penthouse. The view and the location are both great! There's plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the weekend!

Great location!

Our family had a great time on our recent stay as its a great location! Only downfall is lots of stairs but totally worth it for the beautiful view from top floor. Would certainly stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a great location with incredible view of the musical fountain!

Wedding Week

We were in town for my son’s wedding. This location was so close to everything. We were nice and centrally located. The penthouse is beautiful and has so much room and beautiful views from the third floor windows and balcony.

Great place and location

This was a great place to stay with plenty of room for 6 adults and 1 infant. The beds were comfortable and having 2 &1/2 baths was very convenient. 2 kitchens was also good for the people on the 1st floor to have snacks at night. The location was ideal for walking to all the downtown restaurants and the top floor balcony gave a beautiful view around the city, up to the YMCA sand dune hill and the nightly musical fountain show.

The perfect location

there is a reason we keep returning to the penthouse. You can park the car and not even use it if you choose. The view is spectacular! So much fun sitting on the balcony, watching the musical fountain. Definitely would recommend staying there

Awesome property

This property is wonderful due to its characteristic design. All three floors had their unique flavor that make staying there a wonderful experience. Blake was a awesome host that directed us where we needed to go. All of us also enjoyed the walk way just outside of our door that took us over to Portabellos that kept us warm and dry for dinner, very nice.

Another perfect stay

There is a reason we have stayed here many times. The location is perfect. We did have a minor problem with parking passes, but Blake is always easy to get in touch with. And it was taken care of quickly. We never used the cars, because everything you need is very walkable. We hope to be back soon

Excellent location!

Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay in July. Having 3 levels gave everyone their space to relax after a busy day exploring. Location is perfect! We watched musical fountain from balcony every night. One block over is downtown. Walk 1.5 miles down the boardwalk and your are at the beach. There are shops, ice cream, and restaurants along the way. We will definitely be back! Thank you Blake for a wonderful experience.

Right There Downtown

We enjoyed our downtown penthouse. The view from the upper balcony was fantastic. The condo was well appointed and clean. The location was right in the heart of Grand Haven, with easy walking to the pier, restaurants, a brewpub and much more. If you have mobility issues, consider the stairs between floors...we are 70 and had no problems, but if you have mobility issues, you may want to consider. Certainly the first floor has a very nice bedroom and bath, but to get to the other bedrooms. it is a bit of stairs. Very sturdy.

Great location

Good view (including the lighted fountain show) and easy walking access to many places. Short drive to others. The condo building was well maintained. Inside needed dusting, and there was sand on one of the couches. Carpet shows spills all over. Bring your own K-cups or ground coffee. The condo has 3 levels, and getting to the second level involves an extra long staircase. Third level is a very nice place to gather for eating, socializing, and relaxing.

August in Michigan

August on Lake Michigan was beautiful. The property is a great location within walking distance of all Grand Haven has to offer. As mentioned in other reviews, the property needs a deep cleaning...carpets, kitchen floors, cabinets. It was "clean enough", but sticking to the kitchen floor isn't a good thing. The furnishings could use some updating. The counter stools were shaky, the couches were worn. The Kuerig did not work. The bedding was adequate, although some of the group felt the matteresses had seen better days. Many of the towels were "tired". Lights (overhead) were burned out. Thank you for sharing this property as a rental. Hopefully you will be able to address some of the maintenance issues during the "off season".

Another Beautiful Weekend In Grand Haven

We have stayed in this property for the second time in as many years. We love the location and the layout. It's perfect for families with the three bedrooms and several more spots for sleeping. Two full baths on the floors with bedrooms, and the half bath on the third floor are very convenient, as well as the two full kitchens and laundry rooms. Parking is adjacent to the building and safe; with marked spaces and simple parking passes included. Entry to the building is secure with an issued key fob required for access. This unit is equipped with a digital lock keypad which is super convenient for those of us who have misplaced keys... The location is what is best about this property - a beautiful view of the river, harbor and lake; walking distance to everything - even the state park beach and light house, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. There is a very nice playground near the YMCA facility that is well cushioned and has lots of up to date equipment - also an easy 5-10 minute walk along the river. Speaking of walks along the river... This location is as close to the river as you can get and overlooks it and the harbor. It's one or two minutes to the river and the wide walkway that borders it. From this property, you can view the colorful waterworks show on Friday and Saturday nights, choreographed to music. The audio/ lasts for 30 minutes or so and is an awesome sight! Enjoy!

Loved this Penthouse

This was our first visit to Grand Haven, and the penthouse made our stay very enjoyable. Blake responded to my questions before, during, and after our stay. The location of this penthouse is fantastic for anything you would want to do in downtown GH. We had seven people, and the multiple bedrooms and the three-floor layout were perfect for the entire family. We used the 3rd-floor dining room to play games and enjoy the beautiful view. Here are some issues I have read about in these reviews and my personal experience(September 2023) The stairs: Yes, there are a lot of stairs. My husband and I used the main level, which has a queen bedroom that is private and also a full bathroom along with a kitchenette. Our kids used the 2nd and 3rd floors. If you don't want to use the stairs, you will not miss anything on the main level except the view off the 3rd-floor balcony. Carpets: I did not think the carpets looked dirty. I saw a stain on the 3rd floor, but that was it. Cleanliness: The bathrooms and kitchens were very clean. The cleaning service should pay closer attention to dusting, as I saw a few places that were not well dusted. We had an issue with the overhead lights on the main floor. I addressed it with the owner, who was aware of the issue and sent over lamps. That would be my only complaint about the whole unit.. the main floor was dark without those overhead lights working. The other floors were very bright. Would book this VRBO again!

We were happy with the location and overall had a good experience. The place needs a good deep clean and some TLC (loose/exposed light switches, heavily stained carpet, sink didn’t drain correctly). We felt safe in our location and enjoyed the fountain at night (our young kids were even able to sleep through it two of the nights)
