"Great hotel for relaxing and enjoying the town "

"Old school hotel and we loved the concept. Favorite hotel in 15 days. "

"Breakfast has decent options but they need to be careful with cheese. We got mold in one of our cheese cubes. Parking can be hair raising if you have a big SUV. It is in the basement and pathway is spiral with very tight corners. Also the front desk/reception is not open 24 hours. So you are out of luck if you arrive late after 9:00 PM and inform them beforehand. "

"An excellent hotel with a great location and delicious breakfast and dinner. Walking distance to the cable car and with beautiful centre of Garmisch just around the corner. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable for the family of three. The room was very well equipped, including free beverage in the fridge (Arolser beer was a particularly good one), Nespresso machine as well as slippers and bathrobes. Selection of food for breakfast and buffet dinner was excellent and delicious - bravo to Chef! The only ideas for improvement are to update the pool area and to reduce the waiting time at the dinner in days of set menu. I would be happy to come back again!"

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."

"One of few hotels in the area that can accommodate a family of four. Only complaint was that the WiFi wasn't particularly stable."
