6/10 Okay

"The position is perfect to reach Hahn airport. There’s a parking + shuttle at the hotel, or you can go by walking, or in 5 minutes drive. The bed and the bathroom are clean. The room is one of the creepiest I ever slept in: everything is abandoned and dirty. Humidity (likely a water leak) on the ceiling, the flloor carpet absolutely old and dirty, the whole furniture with scratches and holes, as if it went through a vandalic assault. In addition, we were assigned a room facing the restaurant, meaning that we were disturbed by people chatting until 10PM and beyond (not nice when you have to leave for the airpot at 3AM). If you just need a bed it’s ok, but don’t think of it as a real hotel."

"Overall a very nice stay. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Hotel was quiet at night which we appreciated. Breakfast was good and restaurant staff were friendly. Decor was nice. Very conveniently located to train station and to the town highlights. They are strict about not getting your room before check-in at 3 pm which can be inconvenient depending on arrival schedules. There is no mini-fridge in the room nor a safe. We would definitely stay here again."

"Nightmare transfer from the airport. Followed the instructions to call for the shuttle and it would turn up. Well it turns up with a different name on the white bus, people squish themselves into the 8 seats. Worked out this the was the bus to be told, tough wait for it to do a loop. Not impressed considering I’d called ahead and told it was on its way for me. Call the hotel to find out the still have at least 28 people they are aware of to shuttle. So, wait for it to do its loop 15-20 mins later - it pulls up in a totally different spot and again people start to pile on the bus. Quick jog across the car park and myself and one other that had missed out the first time get on the bus. It drives to the ‘hotel’. Doesn’t look like the photos. Told to wait, the bus driver deals with everyone else that’s on the bus - think they were people picking up cars. Then they ‘check me in’ oh no key ready! It’s 2am in the morning, hotel chap returns to the desk - oh still no key! Makes me a key then says he’s too busy to show me the room- it’s a couple of hundred meters down the road left right left right blah blah. So off I go single female 2am in the morning. Find the hotel and met with a serious waft of cannabis - delightful! The room it’s self was what I’d expect and fine. The rest though disorganised chaos."

"As if being in a castle isn’t awesome enough, the staff is so friendly, accommodating and helpful. The grounds and rooms were exceptional. Gorgeous. The restaurant for dinner had amazing food and service. I honestly can’t say enough about this property. Two thumbs up, 5 stars, whatever best ratings I can possibly give for a hotel - I bestow upon this hotel. You absolutely MUST stay here, even if for just a day. It’s totally worth it! "
