"Basic place and amenities in a village surrounded by other houses. We were in a basement room with a small window, No elevator, no coffee machine in the rooms. Other than that the staff was helpful, it was close 10 min walk to the lake, the villa is clean and well maintained"

"Absolutely stunning hotel. One of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Staff was helpful & friendly & spoke English well. The room was a corner room, it was beautiful & decorated lovely. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available for purchase $14 eu pp. we did not eat but our friends did & said it was delicious & worth the money. I highly recommend this hotel for value, beauty & convenience to cruise port."

"To begin with, GPS did not get us to the hotel. We drove round and round till we figured it out ourselves. First impressions of the hotel are cold, unattractive and uncared for in the lobby with horrible stained furniture and old carpet. The hallways were old and dark. The room was very basic but appeared clean and kept up. The bathroom had been renovated appropriately. Air conditioning was barely working which made the room unbearable. When brought up to female front desk staff we were told too bad, one system for the whole hotel, no remedy available. They were kind to bring us fans. The room was quiet and we slept well. We did not use the breakfast because we had to depart early."

"We had a wonderful week the breakfasts were incredible the hiking from the door was really easy and beautiful. The restaurant is great. The whirlpool steam room and sauna are lovely after a good hike. Know that the sauna and steam room are no swimsuits and coed but they did give you a towel and everyone uses it."

"We booked a 2-bed room. While there were two beds, they were next to each other and only one set of sheet. The apartment was great and spacious, but so.e of the utensils and plates were not super clean."

"Great location. Worth paying extra for the balcony with a view of the lake. Hotel is nicely updated. Tasteful decor. Comfortable bed. Very helpful staff. Would definitely repeat. Only thing I didn’t like is that the restaurant bar outside plays lame music later into the evening than you might expect in such an otherwise peaceful place."

"Hotel is a cute place to stay well visiting Trieste. Decor of the rooms are tasteful and has a fun twist to the look. Washrooms had larger white tiles throughout. Met my standard of cleanliness, didn’t have the urge to sanitize everything before using. Staff working including lady straightening our room was very friendly. We didn’t have breakfast either mornings, we wanted to get out and explore, great location! However, we did hear though the breakfast was tasty. A few notes to take, when visiting in the warmer months, there is a decor covering at the end of the bed, with a quality top sheet however a full comforter could be found in the cupboard on the top self. The room has a thermostat which can be adjusted, including air conditioning as an option. We had a restful sleep both evenings. The room had no clothes iron, however we did have an in room espresso machine with two pods each morning, Also had slippers, blow dryer, hand soap, body soap/shampoo. No conditioner, body cream or robe. (Fortunately we brought our own conditioner.) Not negative just information for packing purposes. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. "
