Interesting mix of quirky interests on the part of the hosts and mix of animals around the property made for interesting conversation. Being the only guest meant not having to share a bathroom, which was positive. Breakfast was basic cereal, etc and could have benefited from some fresh fruit.

Thank you for your review. Im sorry if you did not see the freshly stewed homegrown rhubarb and homemade yoghurt in the fridge. Also the toast and selection of spreads on the side table. We also have a choice of rooms with ensuite for future reference.

Hillside retreat
What a great place to stay. Bruce and Jayne were great hosts. Expect to talk about cars or motorcycles. They know the area and are a great resource. Strongly recommend.

A lovely stay
It was perfect! Home made stewed rhubarb! Wow. I spent in the first morning— that never happens. I’m a former motelier and I tend to be a little finicky! No worries here!

We really enjoyed our night at the property. We’d never been to Gore before, so the elevation overlooking town was awesome - it showed the town off beautifully. The property is new and beautifully presented inside and out. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy the evening. There were also a couple of talkative cockatoo to visit with as well as a giant Flemish rabbit. Jayne and Bruce were perfect hosts. They both greeted us and then Jayne showed us where everything was. They then left us alone to enjoy our evening. The next morning at breakfast, we loved talking with the two of them. A perfect stay!

What a fabulous place to stay with wonderful owners who go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. We stayed for the Top Paddock music concert and where delivered to our concert in the Limo owned by The Reservation a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was fantastic 😋

Bucole bliss in Gore
Our hosts were simply wonderful. This is a first class accommodation. The views of the surrounding green hills were spectacular. Breakfast was great.

A definite winner for a Gore B&B
We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It has the look of a tiny boutique hotel with expansive views of the surrounding area. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and a great source of information about the town and Kiwi culture. The bed was super comfy and the breakfast was both delicious and plentiful — bring a big appetite.

Fabulous in Gore
Great place to stay:lovely hosts, great room with comfortable bed and great en-suite with nice outlook. The guest lounge area is an excellent idea with Mini kitchen so you don’t have to eat in your room-well equiped with drinks and yummy Anzac Biscuits! Will stay again.

We had an amazing room with a walkout patio and a spectacular view. The property was very clean and comfortable. The owners are very kind and friendly. Excellent breakfast and very good coffee. We enjoyed all the animals on the property such as the alpacas, sheep, cockatoo, goat and even a friendly old pig.

Nice place to stay
Nice place to stay and welcoming host. Aircon would help and bathroom could have been cleaner (sticky floor by the toilet, basin and taps just rubbed over and not as clean as it could be, dead flies on windowsill). Host offered to make a breakfast the night before as I was leaving before breakfast time, really nice touch, as was the offer of a wine or beer on arrival.

Thanks for your feedback Mark. There is a fan in the wardrobe for cooling. Im a bit horrified that the cleaniness of the room did not meet you expectations, please accept my apologies for that - its the first time in 6 years anyone has had any issues with that :-(

Clean with nice territorial views, garden. Complimentary beer and wine, homemade cookies in room. Close to town and restaurants. Jayne was amazing host - wonderful breakfast in the morning. Asked if we would like smoked trout and smoked it that morning. Very helpful with laundry.

A great escape and so close to town. Staff and facilities were amazing and the views were great. The vantage point of being on a hill allows you to over look the township and see some majestic views of Gore and the surrounding area

Luxury in Gore
Great location overlooking Gore and the farmland surrounding. Easy to get to and only 3 minute drive to centre of Gore. Hosts are marvellous. Very friendly and accomodating. The room and amenities are first class. Bed so comfortable. High quality linen. We particularly enjoyed the communal lounge with complimentary cold drinks, wine, beer, soft drinks plus Anzac biscuits and lollies. Breakfast is in style. Good range of cereals and lots of it. Home made grain bread. Cooked breakfast available if you want it. The friendly alpacas were a bonus as was the stretch limo should you feel the need to be spoilt.

Lovely property with a rural outlook. Hosts Bruce and Jayne very friendly and Jayne's home baked breads and preserves for breakfast were delicious. Room was extremely well appointed and very comfortable. would highly recommend for your stay in Gore.

Thank You for your kind words, we appreciate it! Sorry there was no sky, we did trial it but it was not a viable option the cost was too much considering it was only ever used 2-3 times in a year. Alway happy to run you down to a local pub to watch a game and pick you up later so you can enjoy s few drinks while watching a game :-)

Loved this B&B!!!
This place was such a great find. We stayed here on our way to Dunedin from Milford Sound. Jayne is so friendly & hospitable. Everything is so clean & modern. Breakfast was delicious & WiFi was excellent. LOVED feeding her alpacas!
