Wonderful Weekend
We really enjoyed our weekend at the property. There was a small issue with our code not working on the door when we arrived, but this was quickly resolved by the property manager and later on, the property owner dropped by to ensure we were settling in okay and to personally apologize for the inconvenience. We really enjoyed the personal touches and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice, quiet property with great amenities and responsive management.

Sisters weekend
5 sisters enjoyed each having our own bedroom! The coffee and teas available were great! Close to activities at Bird-in-hand. Very clean home and comfortable beds. We found cards and games in the dining room hutch!

Weekend getaway with family!
Comfortable clean and spacious home that is very conveniently located with everything you need to feel at home. The host was very responsive and helpful! Beautiful backyard and beautiful views of farmland in the front. Would definitely stay again!

Sight and Sound Trip
The house was a great place and was very convenient to Sight and Sound and local shopping areas. We enjoyed our stay immensely! The only reason I am giving 4 stars for the accuracy of the online listing is that the house was attached to another house and the address on the listing isn’t for this property, it is for the house next door.

GIRLS GET AWAY RETREAT
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Esh Country Guesthouse. We were welcomed by some delicious homemade whoppie pies. Thank you Verna. This was the perfect place. It is close to many attractions, farms... one up the road called Breezy Valley Farm where we found fresh veggies, free range eggs, fresh yogurt, milk, smoothies and really yummy fiber balls. There are many shops, and restaurants to choose from. The home lacked nothing. It was super clean and very spacious. It is right on a main road, so you can hear vehicles passing by, however; I personally had no problems with that because I found my bed to be very comfy and I had a great night sleep. Verna was quick to respond to any questions I had and helpful in many ways. I can't wait to visit again with a larger group and enjoy the outdoor area, which we didn't get to use this time around.

Nice comfortable home and welcoming host! There was plenty of space for my family to spend time together, but also plenty of space for each of us to retreat to our own rooms when desired. The property was clean and well-supplied. Everything was as described in the listing. Our host was very welcoming and communicative. We would stay again!

The house was just what we needed and was a wonderful place for a group of quilters to share - close to great shopping! The hosts were very welcoming and provided some wonderful extras! Lovely, relaxing home away from home. Very nice owners.
This guest house was perfect and had everything that my family needed!! It was spotless and had all the conveniences of home. All of my family slept great on the comfortable beds. They have lots of supplies stocked and ready to use. We loved coming home after our daily adventures and relaxing. It was great to be able to sit out on the porch in the morning or evening and see the horse and buggies pass by. The owners were great and very friendly, nice people. The homemade shoofly whoopie pies were so good!! If your looking for a home away from home while visiting the Lancaster, Amish Country area you have to check this place out, you won't be dissapointed.

Family vacation
We had a great stay! The house had everything we needed! We had 11 people in our family with plenty of room to spread out but also come together as a family in the evenings. My son especially loved being able to play in the front yard and the back yard. Being able to say hello to the horse Texas was a big bonus. We will definitely be back again!

Perfect Lancaster Rental
This is our second stay with the Esh family. The rental is super convenient and close to everything Lancaster has to offer. We arrived to an incredibly clean house - everything is well thought out, stocked and ready to enjoy. The horses and backyard activities are always a highlight of our trip. We enjoyed our time with the Esh family and even had some special treats delivered mid week by their in-laws who were most welcoming and kind. This is truly a wonderful vacation home - we look forward to returning next year.

Great stay
We had a fabulous time staying at the Esh Guesthouse. The home was very clean and well-equipped for our 6 adults and 6 children. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've slept on. Our grandchildren said they enjoyed playing in the yard behind the garage, playing games around the big family table and feeding the pony Mason. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Verna was super responsive to any inquiries, and we enjoyed meeting John, Elmer & Leena as well. If you're looking for a place to stay, be sure to consider the Esh guesthouse.

Ladies Annual Getaway
Another fantastic stay! Spotless home with tons of space conveniently located to local shops, outlets, numerous attractions. Extras like a nice patio, fire pit, corn hole boards and covered parking. Excellent communication with property manager and owners. Our group visits every fall and have stayed here several years in a row - no plans on changing - always an enjoyable stay!

Nine 62+, senior adults (not totally like the typical grandparent "old fogey") have spent 5 of the last 7 years going to the Sight and Sound Theatre in the fall. Every year, the home was clean and maintained very nicely. This year (2022) new shower surrounds and fixtures were a nice upgrade. We only had to bring food and personal items. Enjoyed the Amish country setting

What a find!
This home was absolutely perfect. A few friends of mine were visiting the area for the weekend and settled on this rental and were so glad we did. It was so comfortable and spacious. There were so many extra touches.. The hosts left us homemade woopie pies in the fridge and there was a pony right across the driveway in a stall that was so friendly! The weather kept us from enjoying the backyard too much but there were lawn games, and a swing! So cute! They had a well stocked coffee bar and extra chairs for guest… there was also plenty of places to park cars! All around perfect! If we come back to this area we would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful stay in Lancaster
The hosts of this property are so lovely! My son was so excited to feed the horse, and we all got up early to watch the sunrise and the buggy "traffic" go by. This house has everything for a wonderful stay with extended family.

Cleanest house EVER!
The house was spotless! The location was perfect as we went to Sight and Sound Theaters, Dutch Apple Theater, Rode the Train, Took a Buggy Ride and did some shopping in the village. The owerners were great to work with. We will definitely book again in 2023, when “Moses” comes to the Sight and Sound Theater!

Awesome place to stay
This home is a perfect place to stay while visiting near Lancaster and surrounding area. All of our activities were very close and lots of things to do nearby. The home is very spacious and well furnished with anything you may need. Our group was large and it accomidated us well. There are so many things to do in the area, we all wished we could have stayed longer. We walked down the street for fresh milk, cheese and honey. It is a beautiful setting for this wonderful home.

This is a wonderful place to stay and very clean! It had enough room for our big family, so we could all stay together. The place was well stocked…pantry…extra sheets…plenty of towels…etc! Family Reunion
We had a great time sitting around the family table and the livingroom was fantastic place to sit and relax. The bedrooms were comfortable for all the couples in our group. We enjoyed the clip-clop of the horses pulling the buggies as they drove by.

Always a great stay! Our choice for a ladies getaway each October – clean, well-maintained, well appointed home with plenty of room. Fantastic location. We enjoyed the new patio area - it was great relaxing by the fire pit after a day of shopping and sightseeing around the area. Great Place to stay in Large clean Well stocked house
We stayed with our extended family with kids and infants. Everyone loved the place. It has everything we needed. Check in was super easy. A personal note was left with a tray of whoopee pies. Everyone loved the location being away from the city, right in the farm country.Can't wait to book another stay.The children loved to play with the toys in the small living room. backyard is not private but we enjoyed playing games, Fire Pit had a lovely evening.

This place was in the heart of the area! The home was well kept, super clean and tidy. The rooms were very big and open yet everyone has plenty of privacy in their bedrooms. So enjoyable being near the horses and the view across the road with the sunrise!!

Clean and comfortable
The house is very close to Intercourse and many activities for our family-Cherry Crest Adventure Park, Barry’s Car Barn, Shady Maple, Dieners Restaurant. Behind the house is a country lane with an Amish schoolhouse. A nice place to jog and walk. Verna was always available. The house is on a street with traffic at night, but we were able to sleep anyway. The rooms are very pretty and comfortable.

A wonderful time in Gordonville
Staying at this beautiful home has become an annual tradition for our extended family. The house is perfect for us with 5 bedrooms, large dining and living room. We love visiting the horses in the barn behind the house. The home is centrally located for us since we enjoy shopping and also a trip to Hershey. We are already planning our trip for 2022!

Well stocked home
Check in was super easy. A personal note was left with a tray of whoopee pies. The den/ office with the desk had toys and books for the children. It was extremely helpful to have a safe place for our 3,5 and 9 year olds to play. They especially enjoyed Cornhole toss, basketball, the swing and rolling in the grass. I have never rented a house that was so well stocked. When the kitchen soap was gone, there were 4 bottles stored in a supply closet with toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags. Tide pods, Gain dryer sheets, bleach etc. The house looked and smelled clean. Sitting on the front porch watching lightning bugs and horse and buggies go by, was so relaxing. Location was the best. We went to Hershey, Strasburg Railroad, Abe and Jessica's horse and buggy ride, Mt. Hope Winery as well as Shady Maple Smorgasbord. The only negative was that one bathroom had purple towels and the other had yellow towels. The yellow towels were dingy so 3 of the adults went to Walmart and bought towels. Instead, I washed the yellow towels with the tide. They still were dingy but at least I knew that I had washed them. I suggest doing like hotels and resorts, and using white towels that can be bleached. Other than that, all else was great. The beds were super comfortable. I would give them a 9 out of 10 if they'd change out the dingy towels.

Lancaster living at its best
This property is great in both its amenities and location! Very close to kitchen kettle village and just about everything else in Lancaster as well! The owner and property manager were very accommodating and communicated with us very quickly throughout the entire process! Will definitely stay again when we return to Lancaster!
