Best Virginia vacation

My family really enjoyed our stay, the resort location is beautiful, and there's plenty to do in the area including Shenandoah hiking and winery visits/tours.

Amazing family vacation!!

From the lake with boat rentals to the clean and quaint cabins... the beautiful pools, the playground, and the equestrian center where everyone was so friendly and nice to my kids... this was, hands-down, one awesome vacation. Would definitely want to come back again!

Amazing Accommodations

The best rest ever

We came to this property after a week in DC and a few days on the Eastern Shore. Place was amazing and restful. We picked this place since it was close to President Monroe’s house; MountPelier (sp) - Dolley and James Madison’s plantation. We wander the countryside so beautiful. Virginia is Beautiful

Property is Beautiful, check in was quick and friendly. Staff was polite and courteous. Cabin area was amazing and the cabin was way more than we expected, we Totally enjoyed our stay. Lovely, relaxing vacation

Made a very nice time at Shenandoah Crossing for our summer vacation. We have a one-year-old and they were lots of things to do to entertain him. We really enjoyed all the pools and hot tubs, seeing the farm animals, playing by the lake and on the playgrounds. Our cabin was beautiful and very nicely updated.

Absolutely beautiful

Was beyond our expectations. We were heading to Florida for vacation when a hurricane was scheduled to hit so we had to find another place to go for vacation and we couldn’t have found a better place. The kids loved all all the things to do. We will definitely come back. And the cabins were beautiful.

Great quiet getaway

The property is located in a very beautiful and secluded part of Virginia. All cabins are nestled within the trees and our unit had a lovely tree shaded deck. We were able to eat breakfast and dinner outside in complete comfort thanks to the trees (this also made it very private). The cabin was nicely designed and the kitchen was clean and very functional. This is a wonderful place for a getaway. The pools were very clean and well maintained. Check in was fast and easy. The concierge helped with information on the property and surrounding area. This includes guest wristbands that earn discounts in Gordonsville. We were very pleased!

It was a great short getaway except for 1 thing

Location, amenities are great except there was 3 live and 1 dead wasp inside the cabin. My kids were scared to turn off the lights in case there's more hiding somewhere. Other than that, it was good location and amenities. Maybe there should be a RAID spray or fly swatter inside the cabin that we could have used.

very clean, functional space. to find the cabin at night could have been easier

It was a great experience; the cabin was very clean, very well equipped and the few staff I talked to (did not need to) were very friendly. My only hiccup was to find the place the first day. We arrived at night and the surrounding roads could benefit from better signs and public light (I guess the property could invest in some clearer signs within a few miles of the property). Once we arrived, it took us some effort to find the driveway to the cabin as it was shared with the next cabin and at pitch black night it was not obvious. I would suggest some more illumination. But once we arrived, it was great overall.

July 4th anniversary flop

The property manager left me a message the morning of checkin saying they didnt have a reservation for us and there was nothing they could do, sorry. We had already noted we were traveling on motorcycles too so they left us high and dry for our 15th wedding anniversary on the forth of July. God blessed us with better accommodations and friendlier speedier service on the outer banks. I have stayed with this property before and immensely enjoyed. Never been brushed off on a holiday before, the morning of check in. So I will no longer recommend this property to fellow travelers. Shame they dont really stand up to being such an excellent property when they make a mistake. Just offer up a refund of the money they took when they didnt have a room, and by the way that may take 3 to 5 days.
