"We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and have yet to hear back from a Manager regarding the numerous complaints we had with the service experienced. To begin with, I will note the positives: Clean room Friendly staff Beautiful views Now the negatives: Upon checking into our room at 7pm (following a telephone conversation had earlier in the morning regarding our children and dog joining us) we discovered that the extra beds were not in our room ready for our children to sleep on. The next morning I reported to reception about being awoken early due to water pipes rumbling to which I was told nobody had mentioned about before. No offer to move. Having ordered Lunch, our one childs meal was left off the order and he was left waiting. For evening Dinner, we were informed the hotel were short staffed and so could not offer the pizzas advertised on their website. This made things difficult for us having had lunch there earlier and our children having to choose from the same menu. Drinks arrived late, so we turned them away when they eventually arrived thinking that we would go elsewhere for dinner. This was on a Sunday, on my Birthday, and we had little choice but to stay as locally not much was open/and only serving roast dinners. We ordered dinner, to find that our puddings were now missed off and so we had to chase. Throughout the staff were friendly, but not very professional or offering a good service. My 2 separate complaints fell on deaf ears it would seem."

"We had a lovely stay at Myrtle Cottage as a family of 4. The cottage itself is charming and characterful with a thatched roof and beautiful garden overlooking open fields, and a table under a pergola for eating al fresco. It is on a quiet country lane with wonderful walks out of the door to Helford and Frenchman’s Creek, and within easy range of all that West Cornwall has to offer. The cosy living room has a wonderful library of fiction and the master bedroom handily provides a window seat reading nook. There is an honesty shop a couple of doors down for essentials, though Maurice and Barbara are such wonderful hosts you don’t much need it, providing fresh eggs from their hens, milk, homemade jam, homemade cake (as well as a thoughtful Easter egg!) on arrival as well as keeping us topped up with fresh cake throughout the week. All in all a wonderful stay, excellent value, delightful hosts - we would love to stay again."

"We really liked the cottage and the site, nice and quiet and so close to great places to visit. A shame there's no clothes washer/ drier as it's much needed after days out on the beach!"

"Wow, what a wonderful stay. We spent our Christmas holiday here with our extended family. Firstly the home was really well stocked with the basics which is so rare and it was really appreciated. The home was very well appointed with large rooms, 3 separate living rooms so no one felt on top of each other. The central gathering area was in the open planned kitchen and large dinning room with heated floors making it a welcome space for everyone to congregate around. In addition you get access to the beautiful Bonython estate gardens for an enjoyable stroll. I would highly recommend Bonython farm house for a stay in you are going to be staying in the area."

"Verity is a tremendous host and this is such a gorgeous property. The grounds of Glebe Hall are lovely and if we'd had better weather, we would have constantly been in the outdoor pool! It's a good spot for traveling to different locations and lovely and quiet at night. "

"Ugh, what a disaster! So, I booked this place for two nights, right? Get there, and the main door to the key lockbox is jammed shut. Called the host like fifteen times, and nada—no answer. Had to scramble to find another place 'cause my girlfriend's pregnant, and we couldn't just hang around. To top it off, they wouldn't give me a refund! Had to fight it through my bank. Seriously, avoid this place like the plague. No one answers, and it feels like a total scam. "
