A Time to Relax and Chill
Lavender Cottage is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Tranquil gardens organised in a well thought out manner. A very generous supply of amenities, blankets, towels and pantry items. Many places throughout the property where you can find a quiet nook. Highly recommended getaway!

Lavender Cottage Get away
Wow!! Close to river for walks, 10 minutes walk to Goolwa main street, but very quiet in the accomodation. Beautifullly appointed, clean with all one needs for a stay. We did not want to leave the property it was so inviting, light, spacious and calming. Ideal for say 3 couples, we did not use all the space as it ended up only being the 2 of us as our friends could not come because of illness. Would highly recommend and we met Dianne as we were leaving - a great host!

Little get-away
We had a fantastic time! The house was huge, and had everything we needed + more. The owner Dianne was amazing and extremely helpful! So close to the river and the beach, The cottage was divine! Thank you Dianne :)

Bliss at the Lavender Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender Cottage. The house was well setup and functional with a lot of eclectic touches which made the stay more interesting. It is one of those properties where the photos don't do it justice.

Wonderful Stay.
This property is beautiful. Everything you need is provided and lots of space for families to spread out. The bath is lovely! Great BBQ out the back and the garden is so tranquil. Peace and comfort. Dianne was an absolute pleasure to deal with. No issues at all. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this property for your next getaway!

Lavender Cottage was a pure delight from start to finish. Very welcoming, clean and nicely supplied with some delightful extras. A really lovely welcome Xmas basket greeted us and comfy beds were a bonus. Loved the high bench tops no stooping or strained backs for us. Highly recommend this PERFECT holiday let. Bravo Dianne.

What a surprise
Upon arrival, the cottage looked small and very quaint but after entering the front door it was surprise after surprise as one area led into another. We kept saying “wow” as we moved through the property. We will stay there again!

Perfect getaway with excellent provisions
We were very comfortable and were impressed with the provisions. Everything was within walking distance and we enjoyed relaxing in the gardens for our meals - very picturesque. It was good to have the pot belly for those cold nights. Thank you so much Diane, we would love to stay again!

Surprise behind the front door
A beautiful, clean and bright place to stay with three bedrooms, all with QS+ beds it is the perfect retreat for 3 couples to get away for a weekend of R and R. Lovely and clean. very spacious. We will book this place again.

Perfect Getaway House
Our group of four friends enjoyed a lovely and relaxing weekend getaway in this beautiful property. Absolutely stunning garden with multiple spaces to sit and enjoy the space. The beds are very comfortable and all linen is high quality. The home is well represented by the photos and if anything is even better in real life. Lots of lovely little touches and all the pantry and fridge basics (and more) are provided. Absolutely recommend this home, we will definitely return.

A great stay, just a couple of hundred meters from the riverfront and then 600m scenic stroll into the wharf area. House was clean and had plenty of excellent living areas to cover all weather conditions.

Well located in a quiet neighbourhood.
Lavender cottage is well equipped and well located, an easy 15 minute stroll to the interesting parts of Goolwa. Layout of the house suited two couples and there was plenty of options for relaxing inside and outside.

Lavender Cottage was a spacious and relaxing place for 5 adults to stay. The outdoor areas were amazing and we enjoyed the tranquillity. Thanks Dianne for the extra touches such as the apples from your tree and fresh flowers on the table. We will be booking this property again for sure.

The surprise within
Well appointed, vey clean and tidy. All the amenities provided. The surprise was the size and flexibility of the property. Lots of out door eating areas, some under cover and protected. Ceiling fans, aircond and 2 family area. Good value for money.

Perfect long weekend getaway
Such a beautifully presented home with everything provided. The bedrooms were so comfortable and outdoor areas just gorgeous. The kids loved the sunken bath, pot belly and extra touches of luxury around the place. Perfect for a family of 5 for the long weekend. We can't wait to come back.

Loved everything about lavender cottage. 2 separate sleeping areas, each end of the cottage. Multiple private areas to relax, from the Bali hut and fish pond out the back to the bbq area, family room, and more. Clean, functional bathrooms (2) and kitchen. Meters from the lake and friendly coffee shop.

Beautiful House with everything!
The house is beautiful to stay in. There are 3 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and 2 bathrooms with showers. The main bedroom has a large bath. The house has everything you need to stay in (including breakfast provisions- e.g. fresh bread, jams, fresh milk, cereal margarine). The bathrooms have shampoos and soaps - even shower loafers). The kitchen is full of many pantry staples. Outside is a relaxing Japanese inspired garden with a large fish pond where there is food to feed the fish. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the outside eating area. Also a few minutes walk to train station which travels from Goolwa to Port Elliot to Victor Harbour. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Goolwa and it was nice to come back to a beautiful house.

Garden House
Lavender Cottage is a very relaxing, well maintained place to stay. Even though the weather went from 42 degrees one day to 17 the next, we were still able to enjoy the garden rooms and general river environment at Goolwa. Highly recommended.
