Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Goni?
The best time to go to Goni, Crete, is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and October.

During these months, the weather is pleasantly warm, ideal for exploring the island without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find fewer crowds compared to July and August, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular sites and beaches. The sea temperature is also superb for swimming, making it a great time for those who enjoy water activities.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the quieter atmosphere and pleasant evenings, superb for dining outdoors or enjoying a sunset. The mild temperatures are also excellent for hiking in the nearby mountains or visiting archaeological sites like Knossos without feeling overwhelmed by the heat.

Families travelling with children will find these months more comfortable for outdoor adventures. The beaches are less crowded, making it easier to find a spot, and the sea is calm and inviting.
