Lovely boutique hotel close to everything. The staff is super helpful and resourceful! Marina from the front desk gave me many restaurants and beach suggestions in Crete to discover. Polite and always smiling all of the staff deserve more than 5 stars! The location makes it so easy to walk to the old port of Chania! The rooms are very clean and well designed. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Chania Hotel!

Pure quality!

We spent a weekend in Chania, leaving our so-called 5-star hotel, Bella Beach Resort, for a couple of days, and found ourselves in a truly 5-star experience at The Chania Hotel. The staff were impeccable from check-in to check-out, including the breakfast service. They took exceptional care of us and paid attention to every detail. We'll definitely be back!

The hotel, staff are amazing. The only downside is the pool. There is no pool not suitable to swim in and certainly not good to take kids, and no place for sun loungers as advertised.

Not at all 5-Star. Very small hotel. Economy Rooms have no window, but there are digital lights, so even at night it is never dark. Economy rooms are just 16sqm and shower and toilet are within the room. Pool is just 20sqm and smaller then my bathtub. Pool is located at rooftop just 5 m beside the restaurant. So during meals there is always a smell of chemicals in the air. Check in costs a lot of time. They always explain all the hotel facilities and services nobody needs.

Our stay at the Chania Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary! The hotel is impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located—everything you could want for a stay in Chania. But what truly set this experience apart was the incredible staff, especially Demos. From start to finish, Demos went above and beyond in every way imaginable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. He continuously anticipated our needs and made sure our stay was perfect. His dedication and warmth made us feel like we were staying with family rather than at a hotel. We also had amazing interactions with Nadia from the breakfast team, who was kind and welcoming, and Maximus at the front desk, who was always helpful and professional. If you want a hotel where you feel truly cared for, in a pristine and convenient location, Chania Hotel is it—and Demos makes it unforgettable!

Staff were rude and not helpful. Deliberately made you wait to check in. Offered some people welcome drinks but not everyone. Room was motion censored for AC so if you were sleeping it would not come on and it would get very warm. Scale did not work low on battery. Came into the room even with the do not disturb light on, which they pointed out to you so you know they use it. Location was perfect!
