2 bedroom 900 sq ft cabin with loft. One king bedroom, one queen bedroom, loft with queen and twin bed. One bathroom with step in tile shower. There's a pond with a beach in the front yard. Wrap around covered porch with charcoal grill and fire pit with cooking grate.
Cabin is one of three rentals that sit on 40 acres. We live on the back of the property behind the pond. All cabins and home were situated for privacy.
Dogs welcome. Cats not allowed due to owner allergies.
Cabin is located in the middle of nowhere yet close to many attractions no matter what your interests are.

Nice Getaway

Property was clean and comfortable. It was quiet with plentiful stars at night. Well stocked with necessities. Our dog loved the yard. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our dogs absolutely loved the outdoors and the pond. There was nice hiking not too far away to enjoy as well. It has a nice kitchen in the cabin to handle all the basic cooking you could need to do. Would definitely stay here again.

Slice of heaven

The fish were biting all weekend! Enjoyed being outdoors the whole time. Will definitely book again!!! The cabin was clean and the description was accurate.

Relaxing weekend

This was one of my favorite stays ever. Such a laid back weekend with lots of hiking nearby. The dogs enjoyed the land and pond. We’ll definitely be back again!

Peaceful get away!

Love the peacefulness that the property gives us. Cabin is cute and cozy, has an awesome view of the pond, we love the greetings from Waylon the Beagle, and the owners are great.

Girls weekend

We picked this property for our weekend girls trip. We loved the property and all of its amenities. It was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely come again. Tommi was a great host and the cabin was perfect. The best part was the little lake that we could swim in.

Lovely getaway

We rented this cabin to stay somewhere nice and quiet while we explored the Shawnee National Forest. Tommi's cabin definitely delivered. Peaceful, full of wildlife and comfortable lodging. Our one year old son loved running around on the property and swimming in the pond. My husband and I enjoyed the kayaks and just the general calmness the pond and the surrounding atmosphere provided. I’d definitely recommend the stay to anyone.

Easter hiking

We just left the best low key weekend ever! We cooked at the cabin and picnicked our way through through the Shawnee forest. I had a bunch of stops mapped out and we opted to enjoy time at the cabin over more hiking. Our daughter had her first solo kayak experience on the pond and is hooked. The guys fished and everyone enjoyed the fire pit. Thanks for providing such a perfect spot for a long weekend!

Weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. This is a great place to get away from everything and spend time with family. The cabin was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. The view of the pond was gorgeous! The host has a well stocked cabin with many things we didn't even think about like a playpen for the little one and fans for all the rooms and even a cute little dog to play with! The only things I think could've made the stay nicer would've been a hottub, wi-fi and more sunlight as it rained most of the stay. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice Property

When we reviewed the property we thought we were closer to Shawnee National Forest and the "wine trail" . Thinking we misread the listing , so the accuracy of listing should be a 4 . Lovely all the way around . I'd certainly go back for the peace and quiet. Thanks for having us.

Wonderful weekend getaway

This property was just perfect for our family with 3 little kids. The kids and our dog could take walks outside on the mowed trails around the cabin and pond with no worries and we were only a short drive from some really great hiking trails. The owner Tommi was wonderful, checking in prior, once during, and after we left. She even answered my phone call to help us with the directions to get there when we weren’t exactly sure where we were! The cabin was clean and very functional. One of our favorite parts of our stay was the beagle Waylon who was an excellent welcoming committee and quickly became a good friend to our dog :) Would definitely come back again and would highly recommend to anyone wanting some peace and quiet in a beautiful location.

Father’s Day Getaway

We brought our family to stay at this cabin for a long weekend. The kids enjoyed the pond most of all with fishing, kayaking and swimming. Our youngest enjoyed playing in the small Sandy beach. The dogs had a great time playing with the Beagle that lives nearby. A couple things that I’d say were above and beyond: The owner made a point to say hello and made sure everything was as expected. Firewood was available to purchase on site. That was convenient! So many towels! We try to reuse our bath towels and we even brought our own for swimming, but it was nice to have plenty of towels to use for the 5 of us. Overall, there was nothing that we needed that wasn’t available. We stay in Shawnee a couple times a year and like to try new places, but I’d say we’ll definitely come back with the kids! Thank you!

Great cabin

Tommi & Thad were great hosts. We were arriving in a snow storm, and they even drove to a bigger intersection to guide us in when we were getting close. The cabin was very clean and the grounds were fantastic. We were there in the winter, and it was beautiful, but this would be a great spot for a family to enjoy a summer vacation. The pond is right there and it has a sandy beach area, and there are some fun trails around the property. My 10 year old daughter loved playing with the owner's dogs each morning. It's the kind of place where parents could enjoy their coffee on the front porch and let the kids play outside without a worry. The area is pretty isolated. This is what we wanted, but know in advance that you should bring groceries with you. it's a bit of a haul to get to a store. There is a Weber grill and everything you need in the kitchen, including a full sized drip coffee maker. This fit our needs perfectly. The bedrooms were a good size. On the lower level there are two proper bedrooms each with a large bed. They are not crammed in there, you have space to move. The second floor is a spacious loft with both a queen bed and a little twin bed in a nook. Our son picked it, he thought it was a fun little spot. The railings are well built, so it's a good spot for little kids. We typically rent about four cabins each year all over the country. This one was a very good one that I can can give a very solid recommendation to.

Beautiful cabin and location

Stayed here during quilt week with quilting friends. The cabin was spotless and cute as can be. Perfect for three girlfriends. We enjoyed the peace and quiet after the crowds at the quilt show. Saw lots of deer on the drive and a wild turkey took an early morning stroll through the yard! Great place to stay!

Beautiful cabin

We had a wonderful stay, shortly after arriving owner stopped by to say hi. The dogs were so happy to jump in the pond. Hiking was awesome, metropolis was not too far away to get groceries. We definitely recommend and we will stay again.

Relaxing get away

I stayed for the weekend with my mother and her small dog. The cabin is cozy and we loved the property. Though it rained most of the time we were there, we still had a relaxing time playing cards and getting some goodies from The chocolate factory that is close by. Dobby our dog loved walking the grounds (even in the rain!). Hoping to come back in the summer to take advantage of the beautiful pond. Definitely recommend.

Peace and tranquility

We decided to take a short little getaway after our busy Thanksgiving. Tommi’s place was fantastic. We hiked two different trails at Shawnee national forest and eight in the town of gondola for two meals. The property is very peaceful and quiet, and we look forward to visiting again, it will be great for a couples retreat weekend or another family gathering . Wry nice cabin on a beautiful piece of property. Great proximity to many other things around if you want to venture out more. Comfortable beds well thought out layout. I loved all the big windows made outside beauty wonderfully visible from inside cabin. Tommi is a lovely host.
