We’ve stayed at the Bedford Hotel before. Our rooms are always spotless when we check in. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, and we really like the downtown location. It’s close and convenient tithing we want to do. Plus, the price is reasonable, and the wi-fi always works well.

The staffs are friendly. Easy check in. Great location. The hotel is one of the beautiful landmarks of Goderich. The facade is architecturally beautiful and inside has a historic charm . However, the lobby, and rooms need a full makeover. And the carpeted floors must go.

The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC and the TV worked good. The hotel its self is aged and that can be seen in the rooms. But we knew that going in and for a place to sleep it was good. The hotel is also conveniently located in the centre of town and there is lots of parking.

Should not see black mold in the bathroom.....at any time. Carpet were not clean.....property looked like it had been neglected. Too bad, excellent location on the Courthouse Square. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

parking was easy. hotel staff was very good. the sink wouldn't drain so they came up and fixed it while we were out. hotel is dated and there was black mold in between some of the shower tiles but it's an old place with tonnes of character. the bed was super comfortable and we had an air-conditioned room with a huge window over looking the main circle of town. all in all...if you're not expecting a 5 star, it was lovely. the rest of our room was grand

It was so clean you couldn't stop smelling all the chemicals they used to clean the place. The whole place smelled clinical. The room we recieved was beyond outdated and did not match up to pictures online. This is a very very tired hotel that is in desperate need of a renovation. The carpet is 10 years past its expiry date. The door to the room was so thin you could hear everything in the hallways. There was also a gap beneath the door that let in light the whole night. The linens were clean on the bed...that's what kept me there. Although the hotel is old, it just hasn't kept up with any updates and it has the feel of being grimey. Staff was friendly. Location was central. Parking was good. Continental breakfast was fine and basic. Air conditioning worked well.

We enjoyed our staff at Hotel Bedford. We enjoyed the ambiance, and cleanliness of the hotel. The shower was great with lots of pressure and the beds were quite comfortable. The location is perfect and within walking distance of everything. We basically parked our car and walked everywhere. The pub is great with reasonable prices and a nice selection on the menu.

This could be a wonderful experience, unfortunately it is dire need of an upgrade! The rooms have reached a state where they are probably difficult to clean properly. As a builder, all I saw during my stay was an overwhelming potential to create a spacious boutique Hotel experience in a stunning location! I would not recommend this Hotel until extensive renovations were undertaken. If they even made an effort, like a room at a time, it may be more appealing!

Great place to stay in central downtown Goderich! Excellent location within walking distance to the local museums and restaurants. Clean room with TV, microwave, and queen bed. A little snug, but perfect for a one night stay. We had dinner at the restaurant underneath, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. Food was decent, and the drinks were good. Will stay here again if back in Goderich!

If location is what you are after then this has a great one, right on the square, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel is very dated, rooms are small. They did have certain items in the them that helped, a fridge and a small microwave however no coffee maker and the continental breakfast that was being offered did not start until 8:30, and it was showing that the coffee maker was out of order. So for a morning coffee drinker not helpful.

The hotel is conveniently located in the town square. Its appeal is excellent however the interior is dated and requires updating. Firstly, this is a 3 story building. There is no elevator. If staying on 2nd or third floor, climbing those stairs for anyone with a disability, elderly or simply out of shape could be a problem. Rooms were as clean as they could be however carpet and bathroom needs updating/replacing along with rooms interior design. The King bed’s mattress was uncomfortable and definitely in need of replacement. The staff was friendly and accommodating and no issues with parking. I believe 3.5 stars would be the overall rating.
