"The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, although the outside seating area could be cleared of used glasses more often. The staff, from reception to restaurant were always polite and helpful as was jousekeeping. We were impressed by management that on awakening after the fire alarm had been been deliberately set off three times during the night, a letter had been slipped under the guests doors apologising for the upset. "

"What a really nice hotel. Location an idyll - sitting next to pond at the front of hotel with glass of wine/beer on nice evening- relaxing. 5 stars. Staff - warm, welcoming, very helpful. (Anthony, Sally, Baba etc...).5 stars. Food great standard again 5 stars. Overall wonderful, quaint, quirky old hotel."

"Great Hotel. I arrived very late and left really early, so I never tested the food. The room was spacious, well equiped and clean."

"The lounge bar was rather dirty with the seats and we had to ask for our table to be cleaned at 5pm Our bathroom was spotlessly clean I thought. The bedroom carpet was horrible. I really enjoyed the breakfast choice and the staff at breakfast were great. "

"The stay at The Mooring House was very comfortable. I hadnt realised they didnt do breakfast but that wasnt a problem for us. The check in was simple and tho we arrived very early they put our bag in our room and sent us a text once it was ready. "
