Excellent Stay
Seriously, don't think twice about booking this property! It's in a beautiful, quiet setting and about an hour drive from countless attractions. We went to Williamsburg, short 45 minute drive through beautiful country. The property is exceptional! The host has thought of literally everything and well appointed. Looking forward to returning soon!

Great restful retreat
This is a home away from home everything you need. You can hear the birds when you sit on the covered porch no trains or cars just peaceful and quiet. The decor is beautifully done. When you venture out Main Street has some great shoos and restaurants.

Bee Haven is a peaceful, relaxing location. We were able to tour Williamsburg, and were pleasantly surprised to enjoy visiting Yorktowne and also Gloucester which we hadn't orginally planned to tour.

Such a cozy stay! This home is clean and adorable, from the spacious kitchen to the comfy front porch! Slept like a queen in the soft sheets. Good water pressure with a fabulous, hot shower.

A Relaxing Getaway
We were fortunate enough to spend a few nights at Bee Haven. Its a charming property and we highly recommend it. We ventured to Williamsburg from here and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this property and Shannon is a 5 star host. Also, have to give a shout out to the Nuttall Country Store which is about a mile from the home. This is a must stop for anything you might need.

Absolute home away from home
We came here for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect. The house is clean with all the amenities and conveniences anyone would need. It's located within an hour of all that the historic triangle has to offer. It was so comfortable that we spent one day just enjoying the place. The owner texted the house info, so we had a clear line of communication in case we needed anything (we didn't). We look forward to returning and perhaps trying out their other properties in the area.

An Exceptional Rental
Bee Haven was a clean, cute and very comfortable cottage. We especially enjoyed its inviting front porch. Its location near the lovely Piankatank Golf Course, the interesting "historic triangle", the pretty town of Gloucester Courthouse and Nuttall's General Store, where the brownies really are "the best", suited us, two Seniors, to a T.

We really enjoyed staying in this cozy little cottage! The beds are so comfortable and the house is decorated very cute! Shannon was so easy to communicate with throughout our stay. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early because of Tropical Storm Ophelia, but would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to this area.

This cute cottage was perfect for the four of us. Very nicely decorated, very comfy beds, very large bathroom with tub/shower combo and separate very large shower. It would be nice to have a separate mirror, since there is only one bathroom. It was nice to have the washer/dryer to clean beach towels and bathing suits. Tons of coffee cups/mugs to choose from for your morning libation. I grew up in Gloucester, and I felt the location was pretty convenient to the courthouse area. Ware Neck Produce has the best tomatoes on earth... and they are grown just down the road from this house. Super cute. A++

This VRBO was immaculately cleaned stocked with everything you could possible need. It was close to different historical museums, battlefields and great restaurants. It was great to have a washer and dryer that we didn’t have to have quarters for. The country side is beautiful and it was so nice to be able to park out truck close to the home.

Cozy Little Cottage on Ware Neck
A perfect fit for the two of us. We were on a seafood mission and our mission was accomplished. Cottage was cozy and great seasonal seafood was plentiful... lots of options within a 20-30 minute drive--without going into urban jungles. This property is located in a rural setting, and access to Gloucester is quick and easy.

Marvelous house
It would be difficult to think of anything critical to say about this rental. This 2-bedroom house is ideal for a small get-a-way. It's located in a quiet, very rural but wonderfully beautiful area of Eastern Virginia near the water. The small house is wonderfully tended. The owners have a great artistic eye which shows up in virtually every corner of the house. Resources are plentiful and all designed for the comfort of those staying. We had excellent contact by the owners and could not be happier with our stay. The only caution I could give to a potential client is to note this house is off the beaten path. If you are a total urbanite unaccustomed to the rural landscape, you might hold some anxiety finding it, particular if you are traveling at night. Otherwise, this place is a jewel of a find.

Racing, rest, and relaxation
M spouse, dog, and I needed a break from the DC hustle! A short drive on a Friday afternoon took us south to this pretty and peaceful location. I raced with the Kinetic Multisports triathlon race series in Williamsburg, and the three of us rested and had a very relaxing long weekend. The cottage was prettily furnished and a perfect retreat. I could not have asked for a better spot.

We just stayed this past week. Everything was great, house was very clean, cozy, and perfect for a family. THERE ARE NO BED BUGS, (a previous review before we stayed had us freaking out a little), but again there were/are no bed bugs, the only thing I can think of is that the area is rural and near water so possibly misquotes from outside...which is a normal thing when outside but again was not an issue...location was remote but within about an hour drive of everything we wanted to do (Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, etc.), it would have been nicer to be a bit closer but the quietness of the area outlays the little bit of extra driving we needed to do. Would definitely recommend and stay again. .

Very hard to reach property manager to obtain key entry information just one day prior to occupancy. However, was eventually resolved OK. Absolutely no help from VRBO directly. Every query yielded a different answer. Poor customer support. House was beautiful and immaculate! Highly recommend this property to anyone!

Interesting how you leave a response like this and you never contacted me personally first with your concerns. I could have told you depending on your excursions (beach, hiking, parks etc.) you were most likely bitten by a gnats, sand fleas or mosquitos. Our property is sprayed every 3 weeks for bugs. There have been guest that have stayed after you and no one has complained about any bites. If there were bed bugs, I can assure you, someone would have called me by NOW! There would have also been blood stains on the protectors or beds and there is nothing. I checked after you left your comment! Our houses are extremely clean, and I have been a super host for 5 years. We work extremely hard to keep our homes clean & maintained. Our reviews speak for themselves.

Peaceful Retreat
We enjoyed our stay at the “bee hive”cottage. The property was maintained well and very inviting. Upon entering there was an immediate sense of serenity. The property is located on a very quiet street. Most restaurants/shops are 15 to 20 minutes away. It is definitely a great location to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

Excellent property. Very clean and nicely decorated with bee theme thruout. Never needed to communicate with owner as everything was provided or in instructions. Highly recommend Hole in the wall restaurant on Gwynn Island to eat seafood.

Great Vacation
My family was very happy with this house. We stayed over Thanksgiving and the kitchen worked well. The house was decorated very nicely and the beds were comfortable. I was great that this place is pet friendly as we brought our small dog. I would be happy to return in the future.
