"Very close to everything. Staff was helpful when we got stuck due to weather letting us sit in the common area to sort everything. We were able to get a slightly early check in to drop our bags to hike the hooker valley. From the hotel we where able to walk to the trail head"

"The place overlooks Lake Tekapo. It is hard to see the full lake from the cabin because there are trees blocking it, but if you walk a few minutes down, you can get stunning views of the lake. The place also has a no partying rule and complete quiet after 10:30pm. It is not very friendly for travelers without cars as the reception area is a 5-10 mins walk away and the roads are a bit rocky on some parts."
