We enjoyed our stay at the Queensbury, and it has everything you need for a short stay near Lake George, but there were a few things that made our stay good instead of great. Upon entering, the hotel was very warm and stuffy as if the AC was not working properly in the main hallway. Once we got to the main vestibule by the front desk the AC seemed to be working. Our room was much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and it was disappointing that there was no fridge or microwave. The AC unit in the window was very loud, and even with it turned down to 65 degrees it was still a bit warm. The main ceiling light was very dusty, and there were some dead flies on the bedspread that we had to brush off. When we went to close the curtain for the night a HUGE spider crawled down the curtain and disappeared into the room somewhere, so needless to say we didn't sleep that well that first night. Overall, it was a good stay, and the hotel is very nice. It just seems like it needs a little polishing and attention to detail. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and the surrounding area has lots of things to do.
