"We stayed five nights at Waters edge retreat with our daughter and her husband and their two children ages six and two. The accommodations were perfect! The cottage was recently updated and spotless! It had ample room for our group, including laundry. It was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans, spices, extra paper, towel, etc. Dishes and pots and pans were all in beautiful condition! There is no zero entry into the lake, but it is very shallow near shore and we had no problem swimming there with the six-year-old. The two-year-old wasn’t interested lol. There is also a large sandy beach and public park just a couple minutes away if you have real young children. The responsiveness of management was excellent and we even met the very kind owner. We highly recommend!"

"Our family enjoyed all the amenities, from the kayaking to swimming to fire pit to spacious accommodations. Being on a quiet lake with great views topped it off. The water in the lake was really high, but with a floating dock that has a nice ladder made it easy for even the young kids to get in and out of the water. "
"We had a weekend stay with 5 adults and 2 dogs and the space was great! Plenty of space for everyone and the outside space is perfect. Great access to the water for kayaking and paddle boarding. The sunrise views are lovely! The stay exceeded our expectations and we will be back again! Also to note, there is patio furniture (table and 8 chairs) on the upstairs deck and 2 chairs on the bottom patio that is not photographed. "
"We just needed a room for the night and we got a great deal here. You never know what to expect from little motels but we were pleasantly surprised.
The staff were very quick and efficient. The room had everything we needed including a TV, nice bed, and a refrigerator. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable.
This is a no frills place. No coffee, no breakfast, just a simple place to rest. It's right next to a gas station, a couple restaurants, and a block or two from downtown Le Sueur which was beautiful. It's a small town so anything else is within a few minutes drive.
The only thing I was bummed about was the ice machine wasn't running but overall we enjoyed our stay very much.
The best part was the air conditioner in the room. It was almost 100°F the day we arrived and our AC was already on when we checked into our room. It was a welcomed respite from the heat for sure.
Overall, if you need a place for the night and don't need anything fancy this is a great deal. We will stay here again if we are ever back in the area. "
"Betty's Bungalow is a perfect little basecamp to enjoy time at and on a beautiful lake.The owners are thoughtful & communicative, and the cozy cabin has everything you need, inside and out (including a nice oscillating fan to help move air & utilize nature's version of AC) to enjoy the best of Minnesota's summer days and nights at the lake!
