"It was in a decent location and was clean. However it did smell of something and the smell was difficult to shake… even with the windows and doors left open. There were lots of little things missing: no dish towels to dry dishes, no effective plug in sink to do dishes, no bread knife to cut bread, no iron or ironing board, no where to hang washing. "The cottage was absolutely beautiful, like something out of a fairy tale. It was in a gorgeous setting with beautiful views of pastures and rolling green hills. In the neighbouring paddock there were 2 donkeys that were very cute and of course sheep. It was perfectly fitted out with a modern kitchen and lovely sitting area with a huge fireplace. Spacious, comfy beds and even a washing machine which we found very helpful. All the unique homey touches were delightful and such a peaceful setting. The owners are amazing, wonderful people easy to communicate with and exceptionally helpful. It is now one of our most favourite places we have ever stayed."

"Oh my goodness! What a fab place to stay! Excellant communication with owner and cannot fault one thing about our stay! Clean, comfortable, and in a very scenic part of Ireland with some of the best beaches iv ever seen at every turn! We were last in the area 32 yrs ago with my late parents and i wanted to revisit those parts and was happy to see it hadnt changed! I must have said wow at least ten times a day! Lucky enough to sit out on the viewing decking and see beautiful sunsets every night. We rebooked straight away for next year and cannot wait to return! Thank you Jim once again!"

"Property as described , lovely cottage high above Downings . Quiet area in the hillside south facing ... Cottage was clean and all that we needed , great Communication from William and lovely views down over the bay ... Woild stay here again ..."
