The best area to stay in Glasow is the town centre, particularly around the Markt (market square).

This area is the heart of Glasow, offering a blend of historic charm and modern conveniences. You'll find the impressive St. Marien Kirche (St. Mary's Church) dominating the skyline, and the Markt itself is surrounded by well-preserved historic buildings housing various shops, cafes, and restaurants. The main shopping street, Lange Straße, also branches off from here.

Couples will find the town centre particularly appealing due to its romantic setting and easy access to local amenities. Evenings can be spent enjoying a meal at a traditional German restaurant or a quiet drink at a local pub, all within a short stroll from your accommodation.

For families, the town centre is also a great option. Many hotels offer family-friendly rooms, and the central location means you're never far from a bakery for breakfast pastries or a park for children to play.

The best time to visit Glasow is during the late spring and summer months, particularly from May to September, when the weather is at its most pleasant.

During these months, you'll experience warmer temperatures and longer daylight hours, which are ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty and outdoor attractions. May and June offer comfortable temperatures for hiking and cycling around Lake Glasow and its surrounding forests, often with fewer crowds than the peak summer months.

July and August are the warmest months, superb for enjoying water activities on the lake, such as swimming or boating. This is also when many local festivals and outdoor events take place, offering a lively option. Families often find these months particularly appealing for a holiday, with plenty of opportunities for children to enjoy the outdoors.

September brings slightly cooler temperatures, but the weather remains generally fine for outdoor pursuits, and the changing colours of the autumn foliage around the lake are quite picturesque.
