Absolute luxury. My only regret is not staying longer. Amazing vegan options for breakfast, wonderful, walkable area and the spa was the highlight of my trip. Counting down until I can stay again.

The hotel was within walking distance of the old town, close to shops and some excellent restaurants. Staff were very helpful and knowledgable about best places to eat and things to do.

I recently spent three nights at the wonderful Hotel de Ciutat Girona. My room on the second floor was very spacious, extremely clean and quiet for a good night’s sleep. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless.
The breakfast buffet had everything you needed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. As I needed to leave early on my last morning the staff organised a breakfast to go bag which was great. The location of the hotel is also a couple of minutes from the famous red...

Our stay was after a short train journey from Perpignan in France prior to collecting another car in Gerona (one way drop off fees are excessive) and the Carlemany was ideal as it was only 300 metres from station. It is by far the best 4 star hotel we have stayed at and the room was outstanding. There is not a lot in the immediate area but perfect for our purposes.

Good modern hotel.
Best probably if you have a car. A bit far to walk to the old quarter often, though there are buses (Line 2) available nearby. And of course taxis.
Apart from that I would recommend highly.

Arrived from the airport after midnight. Taxi was around 25 euros to the hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was included in our booking - nothing elaborate - cereal; bread and condiments; yogurt; tea/coffee/juice. Checked out after breakfast and walked approx. 2km to the Girona train station to buy tickets to Barcelona.
