"Very friendly staff across the board. Great location to reach day trips to Sigiriya, Pollonaruwa, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, and safari/hiking, etc. and unwind/relax at the pool/spa. Lakefront is great for reading or for a morning jog. Rooms/facilities are new and well maintained. Staff goes over and beyond to make your stay comfortable."

"We don’t understand why there are some medium reviews about this place; it is such a beautiful eco resort, lovely surroundings, great staff, you have a view of Sigiriya Rock from the pool, there are friendly monkeys and other sorts of beautiful animals around. The staff is very polite and helpful, they arranged us a transfer for the early morning climb. The included breakfast was very extensive and delicious, the dinner is not best but not bad either. The atmosphere is lovely, so it’s worth eating there. But the village is so close, you can just walk there and eat in one of the restaurants as well, so it’s not a big issue. We definitely recommend a stay here if you’re visiting the rock!!!"

"Having just spent 5 nights at this hotel we can definitely recommend it. It was ideally placed for our self organised tour of Sri Lanka and, from here, we visited the iconic sites of Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and the fabulous Hurulu national park where we saw many elephants. Our lakeside cottage at the hotel was very quaint and we loved sitting on the decking watching the monkeys and chipmunks running around. Staff at the hotel are very welcoming and the pool area is lovely. The hotel does get frequented by coach parties and we enjoyed the breakfast and evening buffets alongside quieter a la carte dinners on the outside terrace on the nights when there were fewer guests "
