Well the property was great! I would have given 5 stars if I wasnt woken up at 0730 and again at 0830 by the alarm company testing the fire alarms without prior warning.

Expedia called this a VIP stay but there was nothing special. Was there a peel left out. Room was fine but nothing special. Would stay again. Great location. Breakfast buffet needs a little help

It was a very nice hotel and the restaurant was top notch. What was inconvenient was that you had to request a refrigerator which was my fault for not seeing that on the reservation and there was no microwave. There was no way to have cold drinks in your room or to take on an excursion to the park, nor there was any way to heat up leftovers from the awesome dinner at the restaurant.

We stayed twice in one week. On the way south and coming back. The bar/restaurant was terrific both meals. The first room was very nice the second room was below average. We attributed it to booking the second room with Expedia. We got the “Expedia” room.

Overall the stay is fantastic, but it's a bit odd that there isn't a water and/or coffee station in the lobby - only an option to purchase coffee from the little store.

The staff were above and beyond friendly - especially in the breakfast restaurant. The bigger breakfast was very good and much better than typical hotel breakfasts. Room was big and comfortable- also above typical American hotel standards. US historical decor abounds making it feel like a museum downstairs. Also less than 30 min drive to ski at Liberty. This hotel was a real g!

Jingoistic and tacky "presidential" themed decor was a huge bummer. Front desk clerk reeked of cigarette smoke. There was a literal cannon in the lobby, which we found horrifying. We checked in at 11 pm but despite the late hour there was a woman playing the piano incredibly loudly. Comically bad "patriotic" art hanging everywhere. Room was very hot and very poorly lit. Basically this place is cut-rate Legoland for right-wingers.

This is always one of my favorite places to stay in Gettysburg! It can be pricey during the tourist season (summer) but it's a great value to stay any other time. The staff is always accommodating and the rooms are usually very comfortable.

Said that the breakfast was included but it costs $17 per person for the buffet style dinning. And the normal menu items where way over priced. There was people sneaking into the pool room but upon there leaving an employee allowed me and my partner to have the pool room to ourselves until closing. So that was really awesome. The staff experiences I had were amazing the whole time the property was in a good spot out side the city and generally close to anything you wanted to explore. No real complaints other the the misleading breakfast inclusion.

I stayed for 4 days in January and it snowed. After 2 days I went to drive my car which was covered with snow. I asked the desk if they had an ice scraper. They didn’t but the gal on duty put on her coat and went out in the cold and came back with an ice scraper. That my friend defines “customer service.”

upon check in, our room had stuff all in it. a dirty socrk, a toy, water bottle under the side table, pens on the floor. paper and such. the room smelled like smoke. after extensive searching where this smoke smell was coming from, it was the ice bucket. apparently the guests before us, used the ice bucket for an ash tray, which would explain why the windows were open. house keeping failed the room. yes we did talk to the front desk, they sent someone up to pick up the trash. that night, just because, we lifted the cushion on the chair and of course, that had garbage under it as well.
