"Great small property with all the amenities that one would need, The ski lift is within walking distance and there is a bus service that will drop you off at the lift. The property itself was simple with no bells and whistles. The staff was friendly and despite being the tail end of the season were happy to help when we needed anything.If airfares are favorable may visit again next season."

"I wanted a place in the mountains and Schwand Gusthaus delivered. Woke up to a scene out of a movie. Tall mountains, green pastures and tinkling bells on cows. Myelie and Patrick are great hosts. We had dinner in their restaurant one night. Excellent food! I am planning to stay here again this winter. It is a shared bathroom situation so if that is an issue look elsewhere. Beds were very comfortable. And Engelberg is a lovely little town. "
