I thought the motel was fantastic. Great location - nice walk to the shops. Right on the lake, which is a good walk around. Staff were very friendly. Also had Netflix, which was a nice surprise. The only thing is it didn't have a digital clock radio. If I had of done my research properly I would have know this, but I didn't, other wise I would have taken my own. That is all.

Very clean and comfortable. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff - even switched our room to one further from the street. Handy guest laundry and an absolutely delicious cooked breakfast! The kids didn’t want to leave!

We had the do not disturb sign up, unfortunately not sure exactly what happened. A staff member come in for a second or two then quickly walked back out.

Jen (the owner) was very welcoming, as were Bear (dog) and the cats. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would love to return and stay for longer. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable.

When is the best time to go to Gazette?
The best time to go to Gazette is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.
During autumn, the weather is generally mild and comfortable, with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. This makes it ideal for exploring the town's historical sites and enjoying outdoor activities without the intensity of summer heat. The surrounding vineyards are also particularly picturesque at this time as the leaves change colour, offering excellent opportunities for wine tasting tours. Couples often appreciate the relaxed pace and scenic beauty of Gazette in autumn.
Spring also offers agreeable weather, with temperatures between 12°C and 22°C, and the countryside is lush and green from winter rains. This is a great time for walking or cycling along the Gazette River Trail, which runs through the heart of the town. Families often find spring appealing as it's superb for visiting the Gazette Wildlife Park, where animals are more active, and the gardens are in full bloom.
While summer (December to February) can be popular, it can also be very hot, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 30°C, which might not be comfortable for everyone.
