Big Lake Cabin with Hot Tub/ Kayaks/ Ping Pong/ Cable

The "Sunshine Cabin" enjoys ample natural sun year around from its lofty position up in the trees. The large picture window overlooking Big Lake provides a birds eye view of both the canopy and lake.
This 81’ deep lake has an island and home to many types of fish that's why we brought fishing/recreational kayaks for our guests. The boat launch access is just 1.6 miles from the sunshine cabin. The cabin is secluded on 1.45 acres of trees.

The place was very clean and nicely decorated for the holidays. Loved the hot tub and ping pong table. The place was well stocked and the coffee, tea, and cocoa bar was a nice touch.

Great upnorth getaway

Me and my boyfriend stayed with our 2 dogs and had a great experience. The cabin was very clean. Since it’s winter we loved that the hot tub was inside. Overall very nice and we would stay again.

Big Lake Cabin was perfect. It was adorable, clean and had everything we could ever need. Such a great place to stay while visiting friends on the lake. We would highly recommend!

This was one of the cleanest and nicest cabins that we have stayed in. The host was very friendly and responsive and answered all of our questions within minutes of messaging. We will definitely be back.

Great stay in the trees!

Lovely treehouse experience, peaceful, and autumn colors! We were quite impressed that the owners checked in with us a couple times during our stay. Very helpful and very prompt in replying to text. Overall wonderful stay!

Had fun without the snow

My family of five (kids 12, 10, and 7) had a great time here. We didn't have much snow. But we were more than happy playing ping pong and enjoying the hot tub. They especially liked the hot cocoa bar. Everything was as shown in the photos and well kept. Very satisfied.

Great Getaway

My wife and I and our 2 dogs had a great time at this splendid property. The ownership was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The property is well stocked with most anything you would need and then some. Amongst the trees, the natural views are impressive. On a nightly basis, we had barred owls calling all around us, and you could hear the loons on the lake in the morning. The beds are very comfortable. This is truly a great place to step away for a few days or a week. Will be back.

Adorable cabin quiet area

The cabin was very clean and close to the lake. It was very close to the shopping in Gaylord, yet you felt you were more in the country. The cabin had a very nice garage area that they made into a recreational area which my family loved the ping pong table and the hot tub!! They also had kayaks available. They even had beds for our fur babies!! They had an adorable Coffee bar that had flavored syrups. They had many nice extras you normally do not see in a cabin rental. I would highly recommend this cabin to friends and family.

Fabulous cabin in the woods.

I would give this a excellent rating. It was super clean, and well decorated. It was very organized. The hot tub was very clean, and the area it was in was very well heated. Each room hss a separate thermostat so you can control each room to your comfort level. Plenty of towels, plus there was coffee, and a cocoa bar. It was decorated for the holiday. It was very peaceful and quiet, but I didn't feel.secluded. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Plow came in a very timely manner to plow and shovel the snow that had fallen. I would highly recommend this place. It was within 5 miles to two ski resorts plus Gaylord.

Enjoyed the place. Unfortunately the hot tub broke after one use. The host replied quickly, a repair was attempted the next day. I understand things happen, and I appreciate the host’s response. Would recommend this place or host.

This is a beautiful home on beautiful property overlooking a lake. The owners have a hot tub in the garage which is decorated like its own little oasis. There is an outdoor fire pit. Fishing kayaks for use. The home itself is very welcoming. We went in September and the home was nicely decorated with fall items. It was just a lovely place to stay. If you have any questions or concerns the owners are very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay here near some beautiful trails to hike with our dogs.
