Neighborhood & additional information: The cabin is in the premier community of Chalet Village, Gatlinburg, Tennessee and our property is adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The views from cabin of the Great Smoky Mountains are breathtaking and we are only 2.5 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park!
Our close proximity to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park means there is lots of wildlife in our area - black bears, deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, fox, and more! Black bears visit the cabin often in Spring, Summer and Fall. You may get lucky and catch a glimpse of one of these residents while enjoying the view from the deck. We also contract regular monthly pest services which treat for all pests from multiple types of bugs, mice, etc. Despite our regular treatments, given the proximity of the cabin to the park, it is possible these pests can temporarily enter the cabin. We immediately respond and treat if anything comes up and have found it is rare to come across anything like this.
When you've had enough relaxation, look forward to endless entertainment in the surrounding area; you'll be in the perfect spot to explore through winding hiking trails and world-class ski slopes in the Great Smoky Mountains. Other local attractions can be found in downtown Gatlinburg, including delectable restaurants, intriguing shops, the always-entertaining alpine slides, and even a moonshine distillery! During your time here, make sure to visit the Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park & Ski Area, which offers terrific skiing in the colder months, a ski mountain coaster, an aerial tramway, and many other thrilling attractions!
The cabin is located on a mountain road. We strongly recommend trip insurance, especially during the winter since there are no refunds for snow and ice. In difficult winter or storm related weather situations there can be delays in cleaning and check-in pending road conditions which can be outside of our control.

This was bearadise! We saw 7 bears cross the property, 2 Mama bears and 5 cubs, at different times. We were able to get videos of cu s climbing trees and a healthy mom. The place was hospitable and well-equipped for everyone's enjoyment, inside and out. The view was stunning! We were all grateful that we had such a nice place to stay!
The property was in great condition and in a great location! The owners were very responsive and easy to work with! We saw 6 bears (4 on the property) which really added to our overall experience! I would definitely recommend staying here again!
What a fantastic property! The cabin was very clean, and the hosts are great. There was plenty of space for the whole family, ample linens, and a nice assortment of cooking utensils if you want to cook. Just before arrival, a bear helped itself to some leftovers at the grill. The hosts quickly fixed the problem, preemptively notifying us. The brand new grill was great. Given the time of year, the bears in the area were VERY active, with daily bear sightings. It is recommended to keep small children under close supervision, as the bears are very quiet and sneaky. Using Ski Mountain road up the mountain is much easier than the GPS directions, as the host pointed out. This was very helpful. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stay with a great view of the valley, plenty of space for the family, and still close to the town.
Pictures makes it look larger than it is and the steps are very steep for little ones and seniors. Great location and very nice hosts. Will stay again!
The property was clean and provided everything we needed for our trip to be a success. The host was extremely accommodating and we will definitely be back. The views were amazing and I couldn’t be happier.
The place is very clean, the beds are comfy, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the VIBE is amazing. Sit on the porch with a cup of coffee and wave at the tram riders as they float by in front of you. We had 9 individual bears visit frequently in the yard and the porches. Highly recommend.
Family and I stayed for week getaway. It was a great place to hang out, lots of activities for this kids. Great view of mountains and Gatlinburg day and night. Every got to watch a small black bear walk by a few times. Just sniffing around and strolling through the woods. They don't call it Bearadise for nothing!
The house was a little smaller than the pictures let on. But the house was very cozy and close to all the activities we were visited every night I bear they even got into the car one night. The host are very helpful.
The views were unbeatable and we had everything we needed during the stay. The hills as stated are very steep but after a few trips up and down not so bad. The firepit and gathering spots were beautiful but with all the bear activity we didn’t take the children off the decks lol. We had multiple sightings daily on the property beneath us and in the driveway but no issues and welcomed the experience! We enjoyed the cabin and family time!
The checkin process was very easy and we could have checked in earlier, which was nice to know. Chris reached out to us to see if we needed anything, but we were good. I contacted Chris before we left so I had our questions answered earlier. There was an awesome view from the cabin and we saw bears there, even in the yard. We had fun watching the cubs play. I would highly recommend staying at this place.
My family and I had a great week. We saw a total of ten bears in five days. We found it very relaxing to sit on the back deck and wave back to the folks riding the Ober. The view of Gatlinburg was awesome and at night the lights in the valley and quietness of the towering mountains provide an atmosphere
nothing short of a spiritual experience. Our host had everything laid out nicely and very well organized.
I found the property to be exactly what was represented on line based on information provided.
My family will definitely be returning.
Thanks for a great week.
This was a lovely well kept chalet. The roads are steep and narrow so do take that into account, but on days I didn't want to drive all the way down we just bought tram tickets from Ober which is right around the corner. Uber eats does deliver here too. I recommend bringing bear spray and definitely be aware. I encountered one on our first morning while checking out the property so we stuck with the buddy system after that. Over all great location, home, and amenities.
Mountain Bearadise was amazing! Great views (including bears in the yard) and amenities (washer/dryer, hot tub, fire pit, swimming pools, etc). The bedrooms are on 3 different floors, which worked for our group, and we liked that the children's bedrooms did not have TVs. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The kitchen supported cooking for large crowds. The location is close to many hiking trails and the parkway, but the neighborhood was quiet with minimal traffic. Internet was fast and reliable. Hosts are informative about the area and very responsive. Requested duties at checkout are minimal.
Cons: the AC took some time to cool the large space to our liking. We wish there were ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. The stairs are a bit steep for the young children. Two of the showers are small, thus hard to maneuver in, according to the 6'5" guest.
Perfect! We planned to stay as close to Gatlinburg as possible while still having the cabin experience. The location of this property was perfect! Only a 5-10 minute drive from the "strip" AND an amazing view of Gatlinburg!! The Cabin was everything we hoped it would be! The photos represent it very well. It has a 3 tier deck! It also has a backyard with a firepit! This is very rare for a cabin with such an amazing view. Plenty of room and activities inside as well. This cabin had everything we needed for our stay. It already has ALL of the basic necessities. The check in was so simple. The same with checking out. The hosts communicated everything you would need to know, not only by email, but there is also the most clever book inside the cabin with everything listed as well as information regarding restaurants and activities in the area. Be prepared, with a view like that you are on the top of a mountain. The roads are narrow and curvy and the driveway is tight but very sufficient. Such a great experience! We were hoping to see bears, but did not. We will definitely return!
Overall one of our favorite places to stay. Seems to be recently updated in the bathrooms an loft game room. We love that we always see a momma bear with her cubs.
Amazing does not begin to describe this beautiful home from its location to the cleanliness. The homeowners were very kind and accommodating to our needs. Would definitely recommend this place if looking for a place in Gatlinburg.
This was perfect for our extended family vacation- enough space for four families and the cabin was very well equipped. The hosts were excellent with communication and responsiveness to questions. It was a fantastic stay!
We had a wonderful weeklong stay. The property was comfortable and had beautiful views! The owners were very responsive and were able to immediately help us with a little issue we had. We would stay here again and absolutely recommend to others.
