Relaxing Getaway

Smoky Mountain Condo

Very cute, renovated condo. Very short drive to national park. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, attractions of downtown Gatlinburg. Recommend!

Gatlinburg Stay

Great location, only about a 10min walk to the main downtown strip. We were in town to visit the National Park and this was a great "home base" for us. Very comfy bed as well! We thought we had to print a parking pass which was a bit tricky in downtown Gatlinburg - but there were two passes when we arrived waiting for us in the unit.

Would stay again!

The location was great! Close to the Parkway, but far enough away that there was no noise. Loved not having to pay for parking as we walked to most places. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. The bed is comfortable and shower/water pressure good! While the space is slightly cramped, we would definitely stay here again.

Just far enough off the busy downtown

We enjoyed being near downtown -- but loved being able to end the day feeling far enough away from the craziness of downtown Gatlinburg. The condo was perfect for the two of us. It was comfortable and clean. The pool was refreshing and felt semi-private. The host was very responsive and helpful during our stay.

This is a nice condo in a quiet building. The bed is very comfortable. The shower was great. The freezer has an ice maker. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the main drag. There are stairs at the back of the building that lead to a road that starts you on the journey to fun. The hosts are very attentive. Stay here without worry.

Perfect getaway for 2

We enjoyed our stay and would book this property again. The unit was very clean, quiet and in a convenient location. The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked great. Having the kitchenette sure saved us some money—my husband cooked breakfast all 3 mornings (good quality cookware and kitchen basics; he also made pizza one night). I appreciated having a hair dryer, storage in the bathroom to hold our personal toiletries, plenty of hot water w/good pressure and plenty of towels. So glad there was an elevator!! It’s a perfect place for 2 adults wanting a short getaway.

Perfect spot for the Smokies

The space was big enough for my husband and I to relax and prep a couple simple meals. The bed was very comfortable. The building was quiet and the apartment was very clean. The location was perfect for our activities: hiking, roaring fork motor trail, Cades Cove, and walking distance to the strip. It was a bit of an incline back up from the strip but I would rather do that than search/pay for parking. The hosts checked in with us to make sure everything was as expected. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean. We did do laundry and there were plenty of open machines. We would definitely stay here again.

This is an “it depends” property. If you want a cute property in a convenient location, this may be a five star for you. It is just as the photos show, it is cute and though it could use a deeper clean (dusty photos etc), it was not dirty (no hair/food/linens clean). Two things troubled me. One, the balcony looks into the walkways of the hall. That slider is also the only natural light source for the bedroom. So, I wasn’t comfortable with the curtains open and didn’t want to sit that “exposed” on the balcony. If I had caught that, I wouldn’t have booked. It is on me. If that isn’t an issue for you, it is a really cute condo that has been updated and is decorated nicely. The location is super convenient. The second issue could also be a plus or minus - the brush on the side of the staircase leading to town was very overgrown. There was a mama and I think two cubs in it. That may be a plus or minus to you. One of the cubs even tried to enter the automatic doors of the new hotel below on opening night. Another cub was in the front lot. Again, this may be a plus and why you want to be there (or not). We have stayed in this building previously and really like the location. You really can’t beat the location for walking convenience.

This property was conveniently located to downtown Gatlinburg. The accommodations were clean and well stocked. Communication with host was timely and responsive. There are so many things I loved about this property but, my favorites were the clean pool, the privacy of the balcony and the king bed was the most comfortable I've ever experienced

My daughter and I had an awesome stay at “A Simple Retreat”! The rooms were exceptionally clean and cozy. It was walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg. We loved having the pool after hiking and shopping.

Truly enjoyed staying here!

Property is 13 min walk to Gatlinburg downtown, there’s no need to use car (if you enjoy walking and avoiding traffic) easy to move everywhere and pretty quiet property, very affordable place , with no doubt we could rent this place again.

Great location

The location of this property is great. A short walk to the villages in Gatlinburg and a short drive to the great Smokey mountain National park and to pigeon forge. We loved the walkability when we wanted it and the ease of getting in an out with the car when that was necessary. Was a great place to stay for me and my daughter.

Quiet and comfortable little condo

We had a fun time in this quiet and comfy condo in Gatlinburg. Easy parking and short walk to downtown area ( some stairs). Easy check in and great communication with the owners. Highly recommend!

Comfortable stay

Very relaxing cozy condo. Slept great! The walk down to the strip was ok but returning is uphill and flight of steps back up to condo was challenging and we are fit! Overall, a very nice place to stay.
