• Driving/Parking: Chalet Village is on the side of a mountain above Gatlinburg, near Ober Mtn Ski Resort. Access is by good quality, paved mountain roads maintained by the city both in summer and during the winter ski season. At the Chalet there is ample flat parking at the top of the driveway for a maximum of three vehicles. With multiple cars, backing up may be required at leaving. Some guests not accustomed to driving in mountains might experience some discomfort the first time they drive the roads but become comfortable after a time or two!

The cabin was cozy, great location, and as expected. It was a quick drive to anything we wanted to do and a fairly private feel. Beautiful view and of course we were ecstatic to see bears walking up the road. Our only complaint was the terrible TP and the old drip coffee maker instead of a Keurig :)

It was great! There were no towels for the hot tub by the sliding glass doors but we enjoyed the hot tub very much .

Smokey Mountains vacation

Very nice chalet located in the mountains with plenty of sightings of black bears. Pools were all a short drive away and all very nice. Also, conveniently located near downtown Gatlinburg. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay and clean. Parking is tricky on the incline though but I’m sure that’s with a lot of the houses in this mountain area. Would stay again.

Great family friendly cabin. Was perfect for our family of 4 but could have accommodated more people comfortably. Cabin is close to all the activities we wanted to do and we saw bears every single day!

Spring Break Trip March 11th-14th

We had such a great time! The chalet was beautiful and offered wonderful views and accommodations for our trip. It had everything we needed and was close to restaurants, shops, and other attractions. Our whole family loved it and we plan to return sometime soon!

Nice place to stay! Beds were a little uncomfortably but other than that it was nice! If you wanna see bears this is the place to stay they come around alot! Drive is kinda hard to get into! The pool was very nice!

Wonderful time with family

Beautiful views, very clean house, great communication with owner when needed. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Steep drive up so be prepared for that. We were there for snow and it was beautiful.

Great Family Vaca Stay

Had a wonderful time staying here with my parents and our kids. It was a great location to get anywhere in the area including downtown Gatlinburg, pigeon forge and the National Park for hiking. We also had amazing weather and saw lots of wildlife, including bears several days! Awesome stay making memories!

Honey Bear Home Away from Home

This was our third time to Honey Bear, and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Gatlinburg. We love the comfortable house, the convenient location, the hot tub, the pool table, and the kitchen amenities. It’s perfect for our family!

Beautiful view... Bears and all!

The house is beautiful inside and out. Our girls vacation was fun. The view is great from the front porch. We even had a breakfast guest our 2nd morning. A juvenile bear walked the railing. Was amazing.

Quiet, spacious, good location for the park.

As title suggests, overall it was a positive experience and we had a decent stay.Excellent location to access the National Park as you don’t have to deal with downtown Gatlinburg. Quiet neighborhood so we slept peacefully. There was plenty of space for the family in all aspects.The listing description is accurate, however, I’m not sure how long ago the refresh happened, but the place needs more love…again.

Family mountains trip

Our family mountains trip was wonderful. Beautiful views and room for the whole family. We did see bears on the way to the chalet 3 nights, and we wanted to. The step roads and driveway were a bit worrisome for city drivers...but it is a mountain. Great place to stay
