GREAT mountain views in ourCozy Gatlinburg Cabin located in Cobbly Nob Village(Bent Creek GOLF at mountain base) This is a two level cabin with an open upper level are featuiring 4 person dining, electric reclining chair and sofa, pool table, wood burning fireplace, a large screen smart TV and a full accessorized kitchen! Down stairs are two large bedroom suites. Each have smart TV's and their own private bath . There is a media room off the bedrooms, making a perfect place for kids or adults to hang out! lazy Bear has lots of windows to enjoy the view. One bedroom has a king bed with its private stand up shower and the second bedroom has two queens with its private shower/tub bath. The 4 person hot tub is off one of the bedrooms and is covered for year round use. It is secured behind fencing for safety. The back yard has an amazing outdoor fire pit area with plenty of seating for the whole family. Adirondack chairs encircle the built in stone fire.. The view here too is just beautiful to describe! This is a perfect place for the whole family to unwind and roast marshmallows after a full day of hiking, shopping, golfing or just playing! A Little Bit of Heaven Community pools is less than a football field walk away! Tennis Courts are also in the development. Lazy Bear has everything you might want for your mountain getaway! Plus there is an 18 hole golf Course, Bent Creek, at the base of the mountain where you drive thru when you access cabin!
Some of the best hiking trails in the Smokies are on this side of Gatlinburg located in the Greenbriar Trails area just 10 minutes away!
Lazy Bear is located in a less touristy area of Gatlinburg in the Village of Cobbly Nob yet only 15 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. 25 minutes to Dollywood and Pigeon Forge areas.

This property was as beautiful as the listing! The hot tub was amazing and the beds were comfortable. We were too busy to use the fire pit but it looked lovely. Donna was a great hostess. We had plenty of space for our family including two adult children.

Great cabin!

Picturesque, quiet & lovely

We enjoyed the setting and the spot tremendously. Just the right setting for a quick weekend trip. There were 4 of us and plenty of space to hang together and relax in our own space. The drive to Gatlinburg is quick and there is something about having security at the bottom of the hill by the golf course that just makes you feel extra secure even in the wilderness. Roads are good and everything about this cabin stay has been wonderful. Highly recommended- I'd stay here if I'm fortunate to make the trip again.

Wonderful time, great view inncozy cabin

We would love to come back - especially if the weather were cooler and we’d have a chance to use the fire pit. This is a great place to relax and even enjoy a gam or two of pool. The local swimming pool is also very convenient. If you have challenges with steps or steep And narrow roads, then this may not be for you, but otherwise, this is a jewel of a house in a gorgeous setting!

We had a great, first time in the great Smokey mountains - our kids love the pool table and the swimming pool. It was so nice to just be able to walk to it. We enjoyed the hot tub- through a little outdated. We seen a few bears ( one at the cabin, and a mama and 3 babies while driving in.) the cabin was perfect for our family of 4- not in te main buzz of things but close enough to hiking trails.

Cute Little House - Great View!

The house small and cozy with a fabulous view off of the deck! It's off the beaten path, and the drive leading to cabin is a little hairy. I've already spoken to the owner about several cleanliness issues we came across, as well as some cheap upgrades, i.e. coffee maker is about from the 80's... went out and bought k-cups for Keurig, some drawers need fixing, light bulbs out, etc.. Little things that would have made the stay better. The reclining couches were great. Master bed very comfy. Lastly, be prepared to take your trash a few miles away. Including your last day. So don't load up your car until you drive your trash to the rental place first, come back, then load.

Almost Heaven!

Had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our mountain time. Didn’t get to see any bears this time but hope to come back soon and try again! Everything was in great order, well supplied and the cabin is comfortable and absolutely lovely inside and out. We loved the view and the quiet….just what our weary souls needed! Check in and out was super easy and owners were very friendly and communicative. If you want peace and quiet, rest and healing…this is your place. It’s a little bit of a drive to get to hikes and things but well worth it to have a quiet sanctuary to come back to. So quiet and peaceful…I’ve never seen stars like that!! The view of the mountains was stunning, hot tub was great and relaxing, and we loved the comfy reclining sofas! Very close to bent creek golf course which was fun but bring some bug spray! The pool is a short steep walk but quiet and refreshing. Be sure to stop by Trishs Mountain Diner for excellent home cooked food and true southern hospitality. We would definitely like to return to Lazy Bear soon!

Perfect get away

We loved the lazy bear! Clean. Quiet. Perfect for us. Bedrooms are down stairs and living room/kitchen were upstairs which we loved! We had 2 neighboring houses. They are close but are still far enough away that it isn’t a bother. The views in the morning are breath taking! I would suggest driving in the day time to find the house, it was not fun trying to find it at night with the twist and turns in the road. As soon as you get there, check the hot tub. Ours was not on and wouldn’t turn on.So the next morning, we did have to have maintenance come out and fix it but they were very quick and by 7:00 that night we were able to get into the hot tub. Also, I would suggest to call the renters place (where you pick up the keys) just to make sure your reservation actually went through. Other than those two things. It was perfect for our little family and it made our Christmas just perfect!

Everything You Need

The home was well-kept and well-stocked with dishes, pots/pans, appliances, and the like… loved the reclining couches and cozy TV room. While in a neighborhood, we felt secluded due to trees between properties. Overall, great experience, we would definitely reserve again in the future. Do be aware of long winding roads up to the VRBO and stairs (split level - stairs up to living space and stairs down to sleeping space). Oh, and we had 2 bears hanging out in the backyard most mornings and evenings - it was awesome!
