  • This beautiful ANTIQUE log cabin home with three bedroom two bath was SPARED from the fires of Gatlinburg. This home is nestled in a beautiful secluded location so you feel like you have the Smokies to yourself. A private drive with ample parking and room to turn around, the home sits amid the woods. The deck wraps half way around the house where you will find a hot tub. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and is decorated with antiques and comfortable furniture. With a half-bath off the living room it has a fully-furnished kitchen. The dining room table seats six. Off the kitchen is a full-size washer The first floor bedroom has a king-size bed and door leading to a great-sized bathroom with a full bath and a shower. There is also upstairs a huge bedroom with GAS fireplace two wing chairs, dresser, vanity, king bed and two night stands and still room to dance! Off the bedroom is a full-bath with shower.

The living room fireplace would not come on when we tried to use it but then randomly come on by itself and the only suggestion I would have is more light around hot tub. Love the cabin and our stay was wonderful.

We enjoyed ringing in the New Year at this cabin. It was charming and not too bad of a drive up into the mountain. All amenities listed were available, and we enjoyed the antique decor and cozy feel.

Anniversary Trip

This was the third year my wife and I have stayed at Dogwood Lodge. We have found this to be the best maintained cabin we have rented in the Smokeys Cabin is well furnished, clean, appliances all work, furniture is very comfortable. The manager is very easy to communicate with, giving excellent information regarding check in. The location is great being between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Wonderful Relaxing Experience

Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our 5-day stay in this lovely cabin during March 2024! The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to make our own meals; there are plenty of towels, pillow choices and supplies; the beds are comfortable; the decor is adorable with lots of artwork and a library of books to read; the hot tub is clean and wonderful to relax in with the beautiful views; and the neighborhood is very quiet and filled with local wildlife! We even saw a bear! The cabin is also centrally located close to many of the towns and parks that visitors come to enjoy. We highly recommend it!

Quiet, Secluded Place to Relax

The silence was deafening! Tranquil best describes this place: a great location to chill and relax. Nicely appointed rooms make this property feel very relaxing. Seeing the giant bear in the back of a parked pickup truck near this cabin was exciting! The driveway was very steep, and the turn into the property from the narrow road was tight but negotiable for our mid-size SUV. Overall, we enjoyed our accommodations and would consider this rental again!

Thanksgiving 2023

We habe stayed at this cabin numerous times. The cabin was clean and welcoming. Guests appreciated the amount of available towels. We were a little disappointed that t he fireplaces had been converted to gas but the gas fireplace worked well and warmed the living room. The queen mattress in the smaller upstairs bedroom needs replaced. I would suggest having chlorine available for guests to use in the hot tub as it definitely needed some during our stay.

Terrible amenities, great location

Let me start out by saying I would like to give 2 stars but the owner was responsive and the location was great. The cabin is rustic as stated, which was completely fine with us. There is a big difference in the structure and decor being rustic and the beds, bedding and living room furniture being 30+ years old. We have stayed at many VRBOs, some being quite rustic. However I think it is important to update your sheets, bedding and towels every so often. The mattresses were terrible and the pillows were all very old and used, also the towels all smelled sour and needed to be thrown out. The living room furniture looked and felt like 90s hand-me-downs. Also the pots and pans were very used and the hot tub was dirty and stained. It felt as though the owners took all of their old stuff from their actual home back in the 80s or 90s and put it in the cabin, never updating again. It was sad to me because the cabin itself is very cool and rustic and the location is great. The owners need to invest some of their rental income in amenity updates.

Perfect Stay

A really lovely cabin in a secluded neighborhood, but close to everything! It was easy to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or the national park from here. We really enjoyed leaving the hustle and bustle of downtown behind to come back to this peaceful little mountain spot. The cabin was well stocked with anything you could need to enjoy your stay!

Perfect Family Getaway!

This cabin is perfect for a family gathering! It's the right distance in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, so you get the best of both worlds. The cabin has tons of charm and character! Adorable cabin

The cabin had everything we needed and more. The view was beautiful. The cabin is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg to give us a peaceful setting, yet close enough that we could run to town to enjoy the other activities.

Communication with the host was fast & easy. The home was ideal for our family Christmas get away. The log home and all the antiques were totally mine and my husband's vibe, just gorgeous. Wish it had a bit more Christmas decoration but was happy with what was there. The home had anything and everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen had extras of just about everything, there were plenty of towels as well. Loved the porch and with the weather being nice we enjoyed sitting out there quite a bit. There is a hot tub, gas & charcoal grill available even though we didn't use either.A few in our group didn't care for the drive into the community or the steep driveway BUT we weren't driving so we just held on and closed our eyes...lol Highly recommend this home/hosts and as long as I don't have to drive we'd stay again. Great Cabin for the Fourth of July

We really enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July. It was a short drive to town and accommodated all of our needs. Larry was very nice and quick to respond when we had any questions. The driveway was a little steeper than us out of towners are used to and its a sharp turn in, but other than that we had no issues.
