The Reclusive Moose is the perfect spot to relax during your Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge vacation!

Located in a peaceful park side resort, easy to access this two-story salt box-style cabin overlooking the resort pool and pavilion. Near playground, basketball goal. Recently decorated with new linens, towels, rugs, furniture, dishes, stainless, pots and pans, toaster, curtains, faux wood blinds, Keurig Duo, Ninja blender, Hunter Mason jar lights ceiling fans, and wall art. All new appliances. Exterior freshly stained and new metal roof. Kitchen, dining room, and first floor den open floor plan. Dependable Spectrum WiFi and four TCL ROKU televisions.

Sleep six, two private king size bedrooms (upstairs bedroom has a Romeo and Juliet window 🙂) and a queen sleeper sofa in the gameroom/loft. Two full bathrooms—one two-person shower and one tub/shower combination. Downstairs bathroom commode area equipped with handicap aids. 1000 square feet of living area. Compact washer/dryer. Gas grill. Picnic table that convert to two benches. Gas logs.

Enjoy the predawn and morning sunrise with breakfast on the deck with Mt. LeConte in view, a soak in the relaxing hot tub, or an evening of conversation and privacy on the porch in the swing and rocking chairs. Many popular board and card games for families, pre-teens, teens, and adults in the gameroom/loft, including a two-person Arcade game console.

Just a few miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the Glades Arts and Crafts District!

Pets (limit of 2) are welcome. Pet fee $40 per night.

Gather used towels
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Lock the doors
Put all trash in trash bags and tie them closed. Leave them inside the cabin (due to 🐻).
Leave the beds just as they are. The house keeper prefers to disassemble the bed linens in a way that makes it quicker for her to remake the beds with clean linens.
Walkthrough the cabin a final time, to see if any personal items have been left behind.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

No charcoal grills or any type of fire, $500 FINE per HOA.
Parking shared with neighbor cabin. Two car maximum for each cabin. Respect their 2 spaces entry/exit when parking even if their cars are not present.
NO smoking tobacco or any type of substance in the cabin. You will pay a $500 fine for violating this rule if any smell or any evidence is detected.

Great cabin

This cabin is so cozy, and inviting. A front porch and back deck, comfortable beds and adorable decor. There is a nice pool and swing set perfect for kids.

Cozy cute and clean!!!

We have been having a rough summer and decided to “run away” for a few days. It was a perfect place! It’s a cozy cabin in the woods. She communicates with me about anything I needed. It’s so close to the pool, has a super clean hot tub, very close to Food City, downtown Gatlinburg and even Pigeon Forge isn’t far. There are also numerous safety devices which shows the owners care!

Loved the place!

The cabin was perfect for our family of 6. The loft was perfect for the kids and the pool directly behind it was great! Super close to many of the things we did. Gail was great at communication and keeping us informed!

This cabin is a hidden gem. Perfect location - close to everything, yet tucked away from the business of town at the same time. Everything was immaculate and well thought out. Beautiful

Perfect for families, couples, girls or bros trip. You name it! We woke to bears on the roof our first night but that added to the charm! It is beyond secure and we had no worries. They explored and left! The hot tub was super relaxing and the pool is just outside our cabin where we could see everyone from our balcony! All of our kids had their own space! Housekeeping deserves props as well! It had everything we needed and wanted in the perfect spot for nature enthusiasts or Dollywood lovers alike! Close enough to get into town but far out enough that it’s easy to forget and close to trails. Can’t rave enough about it!

Such a great time!

Everything about staying at the Reclusive Moose was awesome! Check in was easy and smooth, as was check out. The place was beautiful and so much attention to little details. Great location to the downtown area but also quiet so we could get some good rest. The kids absolutely loved the video game cabinet and woke up to play every morning while we made breakfast. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin!

Very nice and peaceful cabin in the woods

We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin is in a great location. Very quiet, yet close to Gatlinburg and all the activities. We even had a bear visit our driveway one morning! Cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. Beds were so comfortable. Communication with Gayle was so easy. She always responded when we had a question. Overall a very enjoyable stay! Hope to be back some day soon!

Very comfortable place that’s minutes from everything..This was our 3rd trip to Gatlinburg and we finally got to see some bears close up on the front porch and the back porch,diffently was a high point of our trip just being there at the cabin.Gail always returned our messages with in minutes and made sure our comfort was a major priority,Thanks Gail

Gatlinburg 3/24-3/29

Everything was good and cabin seemed well maintained. The only criticism I would have would be that there would be an extra roll of toilet paper in both bathrooms. There was a partial roll in both bathrooms and 1 extra roll in the downstairs but not upstairs. Luckily I brought some since we were there a week. Thanks for letting us rent the cabin and we would definitely come again.

Amazing property!

This property met our expectations plus more! My wife and I were both horrified by our last experience with another property that was managed by another organization; and we’re nervous attempting this again. However, we loved our stay. Everything was great! Clean property with clean bedding. The only reason we gave a 4 star for cleanliness is because when we first checked in, we located a small mess left by another animal that was partially cleaned. However, it was minor and we understand sometimes something so small could be missed. Everything was easily accessible and worked great. The details put in to the design and decorations were all well thought out. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location and amenities, the dogs loved it as well

Gail was quick to respond and provided everything we needed for a great few days of vacation. The VRBO has more kitchen items than most have so cooking was easy.VRBO however made it clear that there were no hidden fees but then requires insurance to be added on at checkout.

Great two night stay

Gail was very kind and timely with the information on the cabin. Let us check in early. Cabin was great for the 4 of us. Good location. Easy to town but away from the traffic.Would stay there again.

What a gem

Perfect Holiday Stay

We had a wonderful time. The location and amenities were amazing and accommodated our group of 7 perfectly! We had great time enjoying all that Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have to offer during the day and spent our evenings enjoying time together in the cabin. Gail was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire stay. It was a perfect Christmas stay for our family.

Cozy and comfortable

This property is extremely well maintained and very comfortable. The owner, Gail, is incredibly responsive and accommodating.For our 10 year old, I think the video game table (with all the coolest 80s era games) was better than the pool table I usually look fir. We'll be back!
