Private & Secluded w/ Beautiful Views Sunsets ~Hot Tub

"Sugar Bear's Chalet" is located in Gatlinburg's Cobbly Nob area and is a scenic, yet easy 15-20 minutes drive to Gatlinburg's downtown "Strip". The sweet Chalet sleeps 4 with 2 Queen beds and 1-1/2 bathrooms. The drive to the Chalet is primarily paved with approximately 200 feet of gravel (easy) drive. (You will NOT need a truck)

Private and Secluded! Relax and enjoy the serenity of the hot tub from the full walk around deck, throw some steaks and veggies on the charcoal grill or curl up and watch your favorite TV shows in front of the gas fireplace ~ the choice is yours! The sunsets in the evening are something that shouldn't be missed and you can even see the lights from downtown Gatlinburg from the back porch.

On the main level, you'll find the kitchen, eat-in area, living room with gas fireplace, one bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom and an arcade/game area.
The Upstairs Loft bedroom, which is open to below (see photos) hosts a queen bed and a half bath.

You'll find 2 Smart Tv's in the Chalet. One in the main level bedroom and the other is above the fireplace in the living room. Guests will need to bring their own passwords for Netflix, Amazon, Disney + etc. For your entertainment, there are also 2 arcades and a variety of board games.

There will be a starter supply of: toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing liquid, dish washer pods, coffee (k-cups), teas, creamers and sugars. There is a grocery store located approximately 5 miles away should you need to purchase other items needed.

This is a No Pet, No Smoking Cabin with a Maximum Occupancy of 4 Guests. Smoking is only allowed OUTSIDE. This rule is strictly enforced. If a guest brings a pet, or have more than 4 guests, they will be asked to leave/vacate immediately and will not be refunded for any part of their reservation for days not used. (Owner allergic).

Security: Please note that there are 24 hour security at the resort and cameras video/audio monitor all exterior doors. Cameras do not have a view of the hot tub and there are no cameras or recording devices on the interior of the property.

Hosts are always a phone call, email or text away and happy to help with anything needed.

***When booking- guests will be required to submit a copy of their drivers license to the hosts- names to match the person on the credit card that VRBO has on file Driver's license needed within 24 hours of booking. Trip/Travel insurance is always recommended for any stay. ***

Amazing stay

Everything was great and on the last day of our stay it snowed which made the vacation that much better. The cabin was wonderful and had a excellent view from the back deck

Great little cabin.

The cabin was great. My family and I enjoyed a few days here while visiting Gatlinburg. It’s a little far out but it is therefore nice and quiet and private. The cabin was very clean and comfortable!

Beautiful Cabin

Affordable with a great view, a relaxing jacuzzi, and modern amenities. We ran into a minor issue when we arrived but the owners picked up immediately and resolved it. Can’t beat it!

Great stay

The cabin was exactly what we needed! It had all the amenities we needed. It was clean. The view is beautiful and it is very private feeling! Owners were great, they checked in before hand and otherwise let us unwind and relax. Wifi and AC were great! Super easy drive right into the main strip of Gatlinburg. Would both come back and recommend this place to friends!

Our relaxing stay at the Sugar Bear Chalet

We felt at home as soon as we stepped through the door. The chalet was very clean and we loved the fall decorations throughout the home. We did not have any problems the 3 nights we stayed. There were plenty of towels, pots and pans, and even a crockpot. The backdrop was Beautiful. Yes, I would recommend this place.

Great getaway

This was the perfect spot for my family and I. It felt remote, but yet was close to everything. We enjoyed the spectacular view every night as well as the hot tub. There are only two deck chairs, so bring extra if you have more than two people in your party. We were visited by a mamma bear and three cubs who were playing on the hot tub one evening. Be sure to keep your car doors locked, as it’s definitely true they know how to try to open car doors!! The cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. If we ever head back to the Smokies, we’d check this place out first!!

Worth the drive

We stayed here for our anniversary in early June and loved it. Very private, never saw anyone during our stay. The cabin is at the end of an unpaved service road that's only about 10p yards long, and the drive up and down can be hair raising if you drive a larger truck like myself but it's totally worth it. Very peaceful sitting on the porch watching the sunset. Hot tub was great for relaxing after hiking all day in the mountains. Cabin has everything you need for your stay from cookware to entertainment (video and board games and smart TV. The only critique I have is the stack washer/dryer was hard for me to use just because I'm pretty tall and getting clothes out of the washer requires a bit of contortionist skills after a day or walking or rafting😁.

Great cabin, incredible views, and even better hosts!

This was everything we expected and more! The cabin was secluded and the views were incredible! We didn't mind the drive to the cabin, but if you were in a larger truck or smaller car the drive to the cabin may be difficult (some tight turns and some steep inclines). But, in our SUV we had no issues. Our only complaint was that the hot tub never got above 90 degrees, but I also did not reach out to the property owner regarding this as it wasn't a big deal to me or my partner. I'm sure if I had reached out they would have been able to help us. We will definitely be staying again the next time we visit Gatlinburg :)

We booked this Chalet on VRBO. The process was seamless. Everytime we visit the Gatlinburg area we try to stay in Cobly Nob. This was my first VRBO experience, so I was a little nervous. In the end everything worked out perfect. The Sugar Bears Chalet was extremely clean. The process of getting into the Chalet was a breeze. We stayed for 4 days / 3 nights. We enjoyed each and every moment. We had a visit by 2 grown bears, they decided they were going to come and get a drink out of the hot tub (It was covered, but they managed to just pull the cover back and give us a little show. We reached out to the owners and they immediately answered the phone (we just wanted to let them know there was some damage to the hot-tub cover). One of the things I really liked about this Chalet is that it isnt right on the main road, so you feel a little more secluded. I recommend sleeping in the upstairs bedroom - you get a great view of the mountains when you wake up in the morning. We wanted to stay for 2 more nights, unfortunately someone had booked for this Chalet Thursday, so we decided to move to another Chalet that is literally .1 mile from Sugar Bears. The new Chalet is nice as well, but we are closer to the road, so we dont feel as secluded. My only suggestion for the host would be: Rocking Chairs on the back deck - there are 2 nice anarondac chairs - they just dont rock. We will definitely try to book this Chalet again on our next visit!

Nice Cabin

Really nice little cabin, great for a small family. Owners were quick to respond, the place was very clean and had a great view. Wished there had been a few more chairs on the patio and maybe a small table. Enjoyed the hot tub which was nice and warm when we arrived. Only minor complaint was had a hard time managing the thermostat which was no deal breaker at all. Overall would rent again.
