My husband and I wanted to get away for a bit and found this hidden gem. The house is beautiful and the views were amazing. The town had so much to do and see. Truly an amazing trip.
We cannot say enough good things about our stay, and our interaction with our host, Zach. We asked if we could add two days to our stay because we loved the cabin and the location so much.
We enjoyed a long weekend stay here. The cabin was perfect for 4 adults and had everything we needed - well stocked with most everything! Clean, cute and well-kept. Very responsive and courteous host!
Our time at the cabin was great. The views are spectacular. Very peaceful having coffee on the porch. Sitting on the rocking chairs and enjoying the view. Easy check in and check out. Zach was great. As other guests have mentioned, be prepared for the steep driveway.Thank you for a wonderful stay at your beautiful Ranger’s Retreat!
The front porch had several rockers and a porch swing and the view of the mountains was breathtaking. The cabin decorated perfectly and was well stocked with everything we needed. Would highly recommend this property and hopefully we will return soon. Zach was a pleasure to work with.
I cannot say enough good things about this property! It was immaculately clean, beautiful, well stocked and perfect! It is close to both gatlinburg and pigeon forge, feels very private and the view is beautiful.
We are already talking about returning next year.
You wont regret booking this property!
Loved this cabin and would stay here again in a heartbeat. We had bears visit us one morning, play in the front porch and climb the sapling/fall off. The kids loved our unexpected guests! I would definitely recommend 4wd and or tire chains to get to this cabin in the winter…I couldn’t imagine coming down the driveway when it was wet from rain or snow.
Everything about this cabin was perfect. It had beautiful views, was peaceful, and was very close to town. I wish we could have stayed longer. As the listing states, I recommend an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive. We had a 2-wheel drive SUV and there were a few spots along the way I was concerned we would not make it. Other than our vehicle, everything was perfect!
Had a wonderful stay for 8 nights. Home is warm and inviting. Everything way clean and well kept. Our family enjoyed the quiet getaway but so close to downtown Gatlinburg. Host was very communicative and helpful. Have cabins close by but don’t hear them. Several bear sightings. We will be back!
This cabin is amazing, it has everything you need. The view of the front deck was awesome. The back deck is private with a hot tub and a propane fire pit. There is plenty of seating in the deck. The cabin has WiFi and cable for a raining day. The driveway is STEEP. I would pull into the cabin next door and back into our parking spots, there is only room for 2 cars. Overall the cabin is immaculate. We don’t see any bears, we were told they are still hibernating. .
Beautiful. Perfect. Serene. Amazing especially with young kids. Back deck is gated and kids cannot get out and have plenty of room to play. Incredibly quiet location. Cabin is immaculately clean, comfortable and within a few minutes of Gatlinburg. 5+ stars. Not one single complaint or regret. Thank you to our cabin hosts!
We stayed at the Ranger’s Retreat for 4 nights and it was an amazing experience overall! The host, Zach, was great and very responsive and helpful when I reached out through the Vrbo app.
Check-in was smooth and seamless using the provided access code on the smart lock.
The cabin itself was perfect. It was spotless and you could tell a lot of time was spent on the preparation between renters. The hot tub was wonderful and the bed was extremely comfortable which made it easy to recover and get some rest after long days of hiking.
The location was also a great. We wanted something in the mountains, surrounded by nature, with some seclusion which is exactly what we got. The view from the front porch was beautiful with unobstructed views of the mountains and downtown Gatlinburg in the distance.
Even with the quiet and privacy we had, it was still just a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the National Park. We felt like we had easy access to all the major attractions in the area.
Overall, it was a great place to stay. I rarely ever waste time in hotels or rentals when traveling because I like to get out and experience whatever location we’re visiting. This is one of those very rare times that we wanted to stay in and enjoy the amenities we had at our disposal due to the beautiful views, peace, quiet and comfort that the Ranger’s Retreat offers. We’ll definitely be coming back again during our next visit to eastern Tennessee!
Our host was prompt with responses and very helpful. The cabin was perfect during our December visit - cozy, and immaculate. It was everything we needed.Definitely recommend AWD vehicles for the visit, so glad we had one.
The property was beautiful and in the perfect location. Secluded yet still close to downtown with just a short drive. The view is spectacular! We’ve stayed at many cabins in Gatlinburg and this has been one of our favorites.
