Great location, great views, lots of things to do
At westgate there is plenty to do without leaving the resort its self.
However the water park was closed the while we stayed, 1/2 the reason I chose to stay at westgate, they never offered any money back towards our stay for the water park being closed.
There are 2 other pools your able to go to. However if you do not enjoy being splashed, hit, or ran over by childern and other guest, I would stay away from them.
The zip line was closed as well, opened the last day we stayed.
The putt putt golf course was so busy there was no way a family could play together and enjoy there time.
There is a bus that will take you around the resort, and down to a trolley stop where you can go into gatlinburg. No information is given on either the resort busses or the city trolley system so you are on your own to it figure out. Would be nice if this information was given to you when you checked in.
The rooms we stayed in were very nice and had amazing views of the mountains!
The floors in the room were dirty and need a good cleaning when we arrived.
When we asked for more towels and blankets they were delivered within the hour! Witch was great for a place of this size!
Most of the staff we came across where friendly and helpful, with the exception of a few.
I would stay here again but I would not plan so much of our time being spent on the amenities within the resort. We spent more time in gatlinburg then excepted due to 2 out of 3 attractions being closed!
