"I don’t review hotels ever but from moment one I felt the need to leave a review for this one. I will say, I won’t stay here again. The first staff person we encountered was completely unfriendly. The rooms are okayish. Our sink had a huge crack in it and would not drain. The bathroom, don’t plan on closing the door while you are in there. The shower water pressure is a single stream of water and all of a sudden it gets so hot you lose half your skin. The added fees were insane. We were charged 150.00 for incidentals… 18.00 for horrible parking per day is insane. 38.00 for a mid breakfast also incredibly overpriced. That’s one person not two. This place was a pretty big fail. The pillows are horrible I had to go buy pillows because I thought I might need medical attention after the first night. "

"Great stay! The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and well maintained. The location was convenient and close to everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others."

"Pool was closed. WiFi was ok. Bed was hard as a brick with only a sheet and very light blanket. Bathtub was extremely dangerous. Very slippery with tacky strips all but gone. Bathrooms need a grab bar in or around shower area. Food was beyond disgusting. "

"Had a spacious room with a balcony on the creek. The room was clean, had a coffee maker and good sized refrigerator. Exactly as shown on the photos online. There is a lovely pool area indoors and a large out door pool."

"Great for families. Breakfast was wonderful. Clean rooms. Close to main attractions. Free parking. Perfect place to stay in Gatlinburg to enjoy downtown Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains and still have more relaxing and fun things to do at the hotel, such as dipping in the hot tub and keeping warm at the fire pit. "

"This place isn't terrible but there are a few things that need improvement. The shower turned into a bath quickly because the drain was stopped up. The toilet was lopsided because of what appeared to be broken tile underneath. The mini fridge was hot the first day of our stay, then froze our items the second day of the stay. Parking is $15 per night of stay.The lobby smelled like there was a gas leak when we first arrived. The hallway on the sixth floor smelled very musty, but our room smelled fine. The pool is closed for repair. The positives... the staff were friendly, the room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, the location is great, the bed was comfortable."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Bearskin Lodge. Everyone always says location is the most important thing; however, I feel when you are staying at a hotel that cleanliness is the most important, followed by location. Bearskin Lodge has both. The room was clean and the location excellent, so it is a win-win. The balcony on the river was cozy and relaxing. Staff members were extremely nice. Could not give a review on breakfast because we like to go to Crockett’s Breakfast Camp and other places for breakfast; however, the coffee by the elevators is pretty decent. Overall I would give this property a 9 out of 10. I will definitely be staying here again. "
