Disliked: Cleanliness
Nice quiet location, but cleanliness could be better.
The cabin is large. Great space for large families or groups. Kitchen is very well stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, pots, etc. Plenty of towels in every bathroom. The hot tub was fabulous. Games (foosball, pool, arcade games) were great too. Access to Ideal Beach was an added bonus! Very quiet neighborhood and streets. Beautiful views. The only thing lacking was the cleanliness. Apparently there is a mouse problem. Along with finding droppings, there are mice bait boxes in several locations inside the cabin. Unfortunately, we saw a mouse that ran into a nightstand, where we found a nest of mice in one of the nightstand drawers. After we got rid of that family of mice, there was evidence of additional rodents (droppings) that we saw after finding the nest. We have stayed at many VRBO locations around Bear Lake and have never encountered a mouse problem. Communication was awesome with the local rental company, however, upon reporting the mice, the company made it sound like it was no big deal and were dismissive about the whole incident. Also, the cleanliness was not great. We found candy wrappers in one of the closets and under a bed. We found stray socks and even a pair of shorts in various bedrooms. And there were several light bulbs burned out throughout the cabin. Just little details such as burned out light bulbs seem to be over looked. Bottom line: would I stay here again? If I knew the mice problem was taken care of and if it was cleaner, absolutely.
