Villa della Certosa is an old-fashioned structure. It’s quiet and clean. Breakfast is tailored to international people. A nice place to stay, if you want to visit famous cities like Certaldo and San Gimignano and be out of the tourist crowd.

What a wonderful accommodation this was! After hiking the long uphill to reach Gambassi Terme, Villa della Certosa was an oasis. My wife drove while I hiked the Via Francigena. She easily found parking. The Villa was in a beautiful location, off the main road. We were greeted warmly and check-in was easy. The room was comfortable and the breakfast good. Great place to stay.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. die Umgebung ist fantatisch. Das einzige was nicht gepasst hat war das Frühstück, wenig auswahl und was wir bekommen haben war fertig Produkte aus dem Supermarkt und noch teilweise eingepackt.

Accoglienza innanzitutto

La casa che ospita il B&B è molto bella, curata e dotata di ogni comfort. Ma la differenza l'ha fatta la persona (Teresa) che ci ha accolti e curati per tutta la ns. permanenza. Complimenti, le "5 faccine" le vale lei da sola. Consigliamo a chiunque transiti sulla via Francigena o decida di fermarsi durante la sua vacanza in Toscana in questo paesino meno noto ma non per questo meno bello.

Nice location in Toscana- easy to reach to your locations like San Gimignano, Siena, Firenze and Pisa. Town is very beautiful and calm, also have good restaurants and super market. The owner is very friendly and helpful, it was perfect stay during my vacation.

Great B&B!

We arrived exhausted from walking the Via Francengena, and the hostess came to meet us. She made us feel at home, gave us a GREAT suggestion for dinner, was very friendly and told us about the local life.

A Delightful Stay at Gambasi Terme

The place is just....incredible! We drove around France & Italy for around 20 days. This is one of the places we loved the most. A very old, incredibly well preserved house. Very good taste in the decoration, up to the tiny little detail taken care of. We enjoyed the whole town, people is super friendly. Surrounded by incredible landscapes and amazing "cantinas" (wineries) to go to taste delicious wines and interact with passionate Italian winemakers. Well...passionate & Italian is an oximoron...right?

Perfect stay

The hotel was exceptional. Most of all,.we arrived by taxi from the train and found ourselves 8 euros short on a Sunday. The hotel staff paid the taxi driver and added it to our bill! What a comfort it was to be welcomed with such trust and caring. Our Stay was excellent and we felt taken care of by the staff What a great place!

The place to stay

If travelling around Tuscany, staying at the Villa della Certosa is a must. Excellent location just on the edge of the Tuscan tourist area ( Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Teatro del Silenzio). We stayed two wonderful nights. This place is epitome of hospitality. The owner and staff place alot of importance on a quality guest experience. The breakfast was awesome, excellent latté.
