Wander through the 17th-century Dutch fort with its colonial architecture, lighthouse, and sea views that define this UNESCO site. Climb the ramparts at sunset, then sample fresh seafood at harbourside restaurants or join locals playing cricket on grassy squares.
Courteous staff, a quiet, comfortable room and super catering in a superbly fitted out property made this a fantastic stay!
Okay, so someone had stolen the TV (joking; there isn’t one in the room, but there is fast, free wifi), but if you want to be in the centre of the Galle Fort action, I reckon few properties can beat this one!

We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend and it went beyond expectations! The staff were just wonderful - you felt so so cared for and about, to ensure you had the best possible time. I really couldn't recommend Rukman and his team from both The Sun House and The Dutch House highly enough!

The perfect stay to end our trip. Staff were wonderful and we loved the Social Hour at the end of the day. Rooms were large and beautiful and the pool was gorgeous. Highlight really was the staff though. Made the visit special.

Zero hassle at checkin and checkout. Exceptional staff. They are incredibly warm and polite. Local breakfast offerings were amazing. Hoppers were great! Highly recommended.

Great location inside the fort walls, so close to shopping, dining and historic sites. Staff very so nice and helpful, and the breakfasts, which were different every day and were freshly made local food, are probably the best breakfasts we've had in any country when travelling overseas. Beautifully restored building with tasteful period style decor. Good a/c plus a ceiling fan

When we got there we had a few demands, I would say we were being a hassle but to the credit of the staff, the dealt with all our issues exceptionally. They couldn't have gone more out of there way. They listened, they understood and they took action accordingly. When we left we hugged them, we toured around Sri Lanka and liked it so much we returned. When we did return, they hugged us. We're back in Australia now and we're talking about going over there again, real soon.

We had a lovely weekend here - the staff were so friendly and accommodating when I had to log into a work meeting before the room was available. The whole place is spotless, the breakfast was fresh and plenty of it and the location is perfect. We’ll stay here whenever we go to Galle.

Great place to stay. Very clean staff were great. Only negative was that wifi was out for our 2 night stay. Great breakfast and pool was very nice. A wee bit out of the way, no shops or restaurants nearby, but very quiet and relaxing.

The place was beautiful design. Thats what I want in hotels. The staff were lovely. Amaan, Viraj and Nethmi were wonderful. This place is an oasis off the busy city street down to the Fort. If you want to stay away from the touristy Fort area on the coast, with a private beach, this place is for you. The only feedback I have for them is be clear about restaurant times. It said on menu in room 6p. I went down 6.15 and was told my meal would take 1 to 1.5 hours. This won't work for families with...
