Es un lugar limpio. Pero la habitación compartida es un zulo, sin luz, sin espacio, y taquillas inutilizadas. Y la cama incómoda, pero al menos no es una litera. Y la puerta de la habitación hace mucho ruido para una habitación compartida. Y en la cocina y a la terraza, ¿qué tal unas sillas más? como te cruces con 2 japoneses desayunando estás condenada a sentarte en el suelo de la terraza. En fin, hostal barato, si vas a dormir cumple su función, pero no lo recomiendo para pasar varios días y descansar.

Tres bon rapport qualité prix localisation

Nous étions en chambre 4, 2 lits simples, collée à la sdb commune mais bien isolée. Chambre et déco sommaire mais fait très bien le job pour quelques nuits, très propre, calme et ultra bien placée. Tout est à 5 mn à pied ( téléphérique, vieille ville, marché, rue Santa Maria, bord de mer). Environ 16 euros depuis l’aéroport avec Bolt. Boulangerie peu chère et très bien pour petit dej dans la même rue juste au dessus.

La chambre se situait juste à côté de la cuisine. Il y avait donc du bruit le matin à partir de 6h et le soir jusqu'à 22h30/23h00. L'emplacement est quant à lui satisfaisant car proche du centre historique. Nous avons pu nous balader à pied facilement.

Personale fantastico. Rosa molto premurosa e disponibile a consigliarti per il meglio per un piacevole soggiorno. Carolina che teneva tutto pulito e ordinato. Elisa alla reception un'italiana a Madeira, molto disponibile per far conoscere il meglio di Madeira. La cucina collettiva occasione per socializzare con gli altri ospiti. Central hostel Funchal

Uma casa portuguesa, com certeza!

When one books a place to stay for holidays or for a short break , he or she expects to have a positive experience, for sure. Well... 109 Funchal Hostel was beyond expectations. A very neat and tidy place at all times, comfy bed and the attention given by Dona Rosa will make you happy since the very first seconds around. It is a place to consider when booking to Funchal.

Exceeded our expectations

We really enjoyed our stay at 109 Funchal Hostel: - very central location, steps from main shopping area, restaurants and Funchal Marina. - there is no 24-hour desk, but you can always get in touch with admins, the check-in was great and quick. - bargain prices! It is a hostel, so be ready to share amenities with other guests, respect the rules, etc. - very clean - the washrooms and rooms are cleaned daily, which you don't see often at hostels. - want to highlight that the stuff is super friendly, helpful and we felt like home there. Filipa and Rosa are just amazing, always ready to give best advice regarding the island, always ready to help if you have issues or concerns. - the only drawback - the kitchen was being renovated when we arrived, but honestly, we didn't even want to use the kitchen, since eating out it so affordable in Madeira and it is a part of the experience.

Warmly recommend 109 Funchal Hostel

109 Funchal Hostel is a wonderful small hostel with a very nice and helpful owner who takes a personal interest in providing the very best service for his guests. Friendly, familiar atmosphere. Convieniently located in the very centre of Funchal. I will certainly stay at 109 Funchal Hostel on my next visit to Madeira, and recommend it warmly to anyone looking for a self-catering, friendly, and well-managed hostel-standard accomodation in Funchal.

Charming Hostel in the Center of Funchal

109 Funchal Hostel is a very nice place to stay. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating and the rooms are spacious and quiet. I can only recommend to stay here if you are in Funchal.

Schönes Hostel in zentraler Lage.

Das Hostel liegt sehr zentral in Funchal, von dort sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu erreichen. Ich habe ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen, somit hatte ich ein Doppelzimmer zur Einzelnutzung mit eigenem Bad& WC sowie Fernseher. Das Zimmer erinnerte mehr an ein Hotel als ein Hostel. Alles war neu und frisch renoviert. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und ist immer bemüht, den Gästen den Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten.

Budget, clean, convenient home like hostel

Joan is friendly and fluently speaking in english,which was really helpful when traveling in Portugal. The hostel is like a sweet home with good renovation and bright painting. The most important is the location is quite close to downtown both in historical and commercial area. 8 mins walk from Aerobus stop. This hostel also provides different kind of room type to meet all kinds of traveler's need. A lovely hostel and a very nice accommodation experience.

Basic, clean rooms. Very central.

The hostel is central, only a 5 minutes walk away to the old town, the coastal promenade or the pedestrian area. The rooms are basic, but very clean, also the bathrooms. The host is polite and gave us good tips for trips or dining. The walls between the rooms are thin, mind earplugs! Nonetheless, the price-performance ratio is invincible!

Excellent séjour de deux nuits dans cet hôtel au coeur de Funchal. 22 euros la nuit pour deux personnes c'est vraiment un tarif imbattable. la chambre n'est pas très grande certes mais propre et refaite à neuf. Le lit est confortable, la salle de bain impeccable et la cuisine, même si elle n'est pas très grande est tout à fait fonctionnelle et propre. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre hôte qui a fait tout en sorte pour que cela se passe bien. Les autres voyageurs étaient très sympathiques et calmes ce qui a permis que notre séjour soit agréable.

Great little hostel right in the Centre of Funchal

This is a brand new hostel 5 minutes from the centre of Funchal. The owners were very helpful, they are locals who cared about my stay and organised some fantastic trips at good prices for me to attend. I booked a room, which had a lockable door and the hostel felt very secure. Communal kitchen facilities were available to use which had all that I required. Hostel was kept very clean and to a high standard for a hostel. Wi-fi was free and very much used by myself as I had no data roaming as I had stupidly forgot to activate. Owner contacted me before arrival to arrange a time for me to be on site so that they could be there to give me the key. Everybody that stayed there was quiet and courteous so no problems sleeping or with noise. All in all very pleased my stay at 109.
