"El hotel es agradable en general pero tiene cosas para mejorar. El entorno maravilloso en plena naturaleza. Limpieza buena y todo muy ordenado. Los "peros" de la estancia son la incomodidad de la cama, el desayuno poco organizado, ya que hay una persona atendiendo y sirviendo. La solución más práctica sería tenerlo preparado y expuesto para los clientes y que se sirvan al gusto. Y lo último es comentar que el desayuno lo pagamos aparte y tiene que ser en efectivo, sería interesante tener la...

Hotel Alta Garrotxa

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is located in Tortellà town. Driving is almost 15 minutes to Besalú"

Hotel Puig Francó

10/10 Excellent

"The property is in the most beautiful mountain location. With incredible views and swimming pool overlooking the mountains.l and forest One of the best breakfasts I have had. A lot of variety. unfortunately there is no coffee machine in the room for such an expensive and prestigious hotel. There is coffee and food amenities available in a pretty lounge, but for a fee of 2.5€ a coffee!l with cream !! I go back for the pool and the relax And the view and the bar and the food."

Hotel Sant Antoni

10/10 Excellent

"Good hotel. Pleasant staff that spoke English well. We had a lovely large room at the front of the Hotel with a balcony. We sat around the pool for an hour, the sun disappears off pool area about 4ish. Pool was too cold to swim in. Just that time of year I suppose. Dinner was good and breakfast was typical continental style. We would definitely stay again."

Hotel Casa Marcial - Only Adults

10/10 Excellent

"Had an amazing stay. The staff were welcoming and the room was lovely with modern comforts in an old fashioned feel. And much bigger than it looked in the pictures. The location was very convenient for crossing the bridge in and out of town. Breakfast was solid and a great start to the day. Consider taking a walk up to the pool for a high up view of the area. All in all a great stay and value for the price."

Large 17 bedroom holiday home in French Pyrenees with private garden and pool

10/10 Excellent

"Everything completely exceeded expectations - the house, location, amenities and Martin's responsiveness and generosity. Martin very kindly allowed us to arrive early and to leave mid afternoon, excellent communication, nothing was too much trouble. There were 16 of us - 6 parents, 4 grown up offspring and their partners plus two children aged 7 and 11. Everyone had an absolutely fantastic time. Something for everyone.Thoughtfully restored ex hotel with comfortable spaces to gather and quiet areas to retreat to. Kitchen was really well equipped for large groups with 2 x 5 ring gas cookers, 2 big ovens, big pans, bowls, as well as industrial sinks. Masses of space to eat inside and out. Expected to eat out more but ease of cooking meant we ate at home mostly.Weather was hot so we made the most of the huge 9mx5m pool and barely had time for the pool table or table tennis but good to have the choice. It was 3 mins walk to the square with boulangeries, gelato, music and dancing in the evening. Interesting strolls around this historic village/small town and more strenuous walks up from the house into the surrounding hills/mountains for stunning views and river swimming. It was really liberating having so much on the doorstep without having to drive and only a short drive to ancient towns, forts, monasteries and abbeys, plus 'le trein jaune'. Perfect! Absolutely loved it. Planning our return. Thanks so much Martin."

What is the best area to stay in Freixenet De Dalt?

The best area to stay in Freixenet De Dalt is the main village itself, particularly around the Plaça Major, for its central location and access to local amenities.

The main village of Freixenet De Dalt is a compact and traditional Catalan settlement. The Plaça Major is the heart of the village, a central square often hosting local markets and community gatherings. From here, narrow, winding streets branch out, leading to small, family-run establishments and historic buildings. The village is located in a valley, offering views of the surrounding hills and vineyards.

Couples looking for a quiet and authentic rural escape will find the main village ideal. You'll be able to enjoy leisurely strolls, sample local wines at nearby bodegas, and experience the relaxed pace of life. For those travelling with a family, staying in or just outside the main village provides a good balance of convenience and space. Many accommodations in this area are traditional farmhouses or villas, offering more room than a typical hotel. Children can enjoy the open spaces, and parents will appreciate being close enough to the village for essentials while still having a sense of privacy and tranquility.
