Wonderful house for a family stay

Relaxing stay

Amazing getaway, the pictures of the backyard do not do it justice as it was beyond better than what we expected. House is lovely, beds are comfortable and we loved watching movies outside while relaxing on the pool.

We loved our stay!

The house and the backyard area are beautiful, and the location was perfect! I would stay at Rosewood Haus again. I would only recommend a small chest of drawers in each bedroom.

Family Christmas Get Away

Beautiful spacious home with wonderful backyard.

This house is wonderful, with beautiful updated decor, clean environment, and spacious rooms. The backyard is incredible, with an amazing pool, fire pit area, and additional covered seating area. It's a large area that is perfect for socializing. We had a blast relaxing in the hot tub after walking home from the food and wine festival. The location is perfect.

Husbands 70th birthday.

First time to see Fredericksburg. Had a wonderful visit with our adult children and grandkids. The property was fabulous. The kids stayed in the pool. The house was perfect and every amenity you can think of was provided. The weather was perfect for dining on the patio.

Backyard bliss

Comfy, well decorated home with lots of beds and bathrooms for a large group. We had 6 people fit extremely comfortably, with 2 empty beds. The backyard was amazing! We used the fire pit, the hot tub, and the Cavern room which has a pool table, poker table and a couple of arcade games. While we were only there 2 days, I can see this as a great home to rent for a week at a time. It's an easy 20-minute walk to Main Street, too, which was a plus!

Very Good

We enjoyed our stay. Thanks for having us! Only negative was that it was very cold temperatures at night and the master bath stayed cold, but we managed okay. The shower and bath water was nice and hot which helped early in the morning! The grand girls still enjoyed the hot tub and said it was very nice and warm!

Girl’s getaway at Rosewood Haus

Property was very nice. Great outdoor space with pool, fire pit and outdoor living area and dining area with grill. Fire pit was awesome! Stairs to upstairs were a bit difficult. Beds and bedrooms were good. Really appreciated the number of plugs and USB ports in the bedrooms to plug in phones and I-pads etc.. Also had a great game room in the back of the property which we unfortunately did not have time to use. Property is close to downtown and restaurants and not far from wineries. Would definitely use this property again!

Great Girls' Retreat!

Six of us ladies enjoyed a relaxing time together away from our volunteer work in Wimberley. The home is within blocks (not exactly walking distance for all of us senior gals.) but very convenient to downtown Main St.) The amenities are great. Really enjoyed the detached game room which hosted a surprise birthday celebration for one of us. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. The sun porch is a nice feature for those early risers who wanted a little reading/coffee time alone. Be sure and make reservations at Vaudeville Bistro for an excellent meal. The only caution I will add are a couple of the "steps". There is a distinctive step down by the pool that was missed by a few of us as there is no distinction for the drop-off and the narrow steps leading to the second floor are a little challenging. Other than that, we were happy campers and would return again and recommend to others. Thank you!

Rosewood Haus Review

Overall, the visit went well. A few items did detract from the overall experience. The outside TV would turn on but nothing else. We couldn't watch TV or listen to any music while outside. Google was not responding. I did reset the router and that helped some but had to unplug the lights upstairs that were plugged into the system. You really need some flyswatters in the house. Flies were in the house all the time!! I would recommend highlight painting some of the steps outside and going in to the 1st floor back bedroom. Several stumbles were had inside and out. Thank you. Very clean and quiet home that really added to the experience there. We had a good time spending it together and staying cool in the pool.

Disappointing Stay at the Rosewood Haus

We were really excited about staying at the Rosewood Haus, and there were a few positives. The décor was lovely, the beds were extremely comfortable, and we appreciated the dressing table in each room, though we couldn't figure out how to make the lighted mirrors work. However, the positives end there. Unfortunately, the house wasn't very clean overall. There was mold in the upstairs bathroom, and the floors were dirty - I regretted wearing white socks inside. The outdoor furniture is in need of a power wash, and the outdoor rugs were all bunched up under the furniture, making the space feel neglected. We also ran into issues with basic amenities. The hot tub didn't work when we arrived, and we were told it was “too late to send someone out.” We followed up the next day, and while they said someone would come, we're unsure if anyone actually arrived as we were out for a few hours. When we returned, the hot tub was still only slightly warm, not hot. It wasn't until the maintenance person came to bring us batteries for the nonworking remotes that the hot tub finally became somewhat functional... On the last night of our stay. Side note, many of the remotes were missing batteries/didn't work, and after some back-and-forth, the maintenance person discovered there was no remote for the TV in the sunroom. We ended up downloading an app to make it work. Additionally, the ice maker was broken, and every time we opened the freezer, ice would drop out, making a mess. For the price we paid, we expected much better maintenance and cleanliness. The house has potential, but more care and attention need to be given to basic upkeep and ensuring everything is functioning properly. As someone who rents properties often, I don't think I've ever had to reach out to a host for so many nonworking items and issues.

This house is very comfortable for the whole family. Many places to sit and enjoy company, whether outside by the pool, in the Cavern playing games, or in the kitchen/dining area. Extra detail was put into the bedrooms and bathrooms creating a great sense of hospitality. Location to Main St restaurants and shopping is convenient.

Family Reunion to Celebrate a Special Birthday

A very special birthday brought my husband and I to Rosewood Haus where we met his three siblings and spouses from out of state. All eight of us stayed at the beautiful "Haus" and were very comfortable. Its central Fredericksburg location made it easy to visit local wineries, enjoy excellent restaurants, and wonderful shopping along Main Street. The house was spotlessly clean and provided everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool, hot tub, and outdoor living area are fabulous !! We loved the house, and will return !! A good time was had by all in a beautiful setting.

The outside area made this stay, with the pool and sitting area being very nice. The Spa only had two jets working, and despite prompt communication from the host, the spa technician never materialized - this was a disappointing, but it did not spoilour stay. A lot of the patio lights need replacing, and i would also like to mention the kitchen and showers are in need of a little updating. The master bathroom looked beautiful though. The neighborhood was quiet, and we were very close to Main street so getting about was very convenient. Lots of “off street” parking available. There was also a detached games room, we didn’t use it but a fun addition. The house was arranged beautifully, with lots of room, especially fur large parties. The bed I slept in was incredibly comfortable, as I believe were all the others.
