Celtic Cottage at Avalon is the newest addition to the Appian Way Cottages and Avalon Guest Cottage. Located only 8 minutes from Main Street this Cottage has all the right amenities. This cottage has a nice comfortable king-size bed that over-looks the living room and gas fireplace.
Located in the bathroom is a nice two-person granite shower with a rain shower-head. There is also a full kitchen with basic utensils and a table for two. Located on the back porch is a private hot tub along with chairs to sit out on and enjoy the Hill Country views and wildlife. There is also a nice front porch to look out on as well.
The Celtic Cottage at Avalon is a little different from the other units on the property. It has a native rock exterior along with granite counter tops. Throughout the cottage there are items from Ireland that the owners have brought back from their trip. Celtic Cottage is the perfect place to come and relax and enjoy a nice cottage in the Hill Country.

10 Year Anniversary

It was simply amazing! My husband and I loved the peacefulness and seeing the deer on the property. It was great getting to reconnect with each other. Didn’t worry about work, or just everyday life where we sometimes get lost or caught up in the routine of it all! Will definitely do this again! Loved relaxing in the HOT TUBE!

Disappointing 3rd visit

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my third time staying here. There are signs of aging. The concrete bench at the outside table was broken. The bathroom ceiling right outside the shower is delaminating as a result of moisture. It seems the cleaning company may have changed as the house's HVAC and exhaust vents need to be cleaned as well as having the spider webs removed from the intersection of the ceiling and main beam. On the amenity front, I was left with 1 pouch of coffee for a 4 day stay; a Keurig would be a nice addition. Finally, there have been additional properties added in fairly close proximity to Celtic Cottage, so, if your neighbor decides to leave their back porch light on all night, you are going to lose your view of the stars. Kind of sad this wasn't taken into consideration when planning the new rentals. This property has definitely lost some of its attraction since it now feels like you are staying in the city. It simply doesn't offer the seclusion it once did. I am honestly not sure I would come back unless a privacy hedge was installed similar to the other side of Celtic Cottage.

Anniversary Getaway

Property was not far from town, but away enough for it to feel secluded. There was plenty of wildlife roaming around, and property was nice and comfortable. We enjoyed hot tub and our stay at this cottage.
