We absolutely loved our stay! The house was so cute and perfect for our little getaway. The best part was location. We were able to walk everywhere to local shops and restaurants. We definitely would love to come back!
Loved staying here! Very close to everything and very clean house. Would definitely stay here again! Marcus made the check in and check out process very easy.
We recently stayed at this property for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful experience. The space was clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. It’s located right off of Main Street so lots of shops and restaurants were in walking distance. Highly recommend for a short stay or a quick escape!
The home was super clean. You’re a one minute walk to the north end of main street to access everything. Uber’s were cheap around town when needed. We had no issues with the home while there either. Recommend this place to anyone!
The property was perfect for the two of us. Great location to Main St. The house had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Marcus communicated with me prior to our stay and was helpful. He ensured we had everything needed for our stay.
The property was very clean, the hot tub was awesome, check in/check out process was easier than most. The bed was very comfortable but we needed a little more space. I recommend another mirror in a spot other than the bathroom. The location was great for walking main street however it did get noisy at night. Overall we loved it.
My husband and I loved staying at The Briarpatch! The location is perfect - a short walk to all of the shops and restaurants, but tucked away enough for a quiet night’s sleep. Petunia House is beautifully decorated and well appointed. One of the other rental homes shares a wall with Petunia House. We could hear our neighbors chatting but everyone respected noise levels. Check in and out was easy. We would definitely stay here again!
The Petunia house at Briarpatch did not disappoint! This house is so charming and in such a great location, only a block from Main Street.
The house is very clean and modern. I thought with it being close to Main Street it would be loud, and lots of street noise, but I was completely wrong!! It was so quiet and peaceful at night. You can tell the host really thought everything through when designing. I’d definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful time getting away for the weekend at this property. It was immaculate, exactly like the pictures, and just steps from Main Street. The only drawback about this location was the noise. We heard every car drive by and every church bell ring. That is the price you have to pay for location sometimes, but overall, it was a wonderful stay.
Petunia House was exactly as described and perfect for a couple’s getaway. When we arrived we found a small issue with the hottub. I messaged the host through the app and they came and fixed the issue within less than 15 minutes. Just a block removed from all the main road attractions, we walked everywhere. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Would consider rentint out the whole Briar Patch for something like a family reunion!

Just okay
The host Marcus was not really a host at all. He unfortunately did not give us the address when given instructions for check in. We had to call VRBO directly. Then the code to the door he gave us did not work and he failed to give us the code to get the key. He never gave us his phone number and didn’t respond with our check in problems. We were almost late for our dinner reservations as a result. There was a local lady who we called several times to help with the hot tub and smoke alarm. She was very nice. All in all the house is decorated very cute and in a great location for walking but other things that bothered us were there were no towels for the hot tub and two of the four bath towels had holes in them. The air conditioner is very loud so you can hardly hear the tv when it’s running. The street (W. Austin) is very noisy at night and early in the mornings. We have stayed at numerous VRBO homes before and never had these problems. I would not come back to this property.
