Fernweh Haus is a beautifully remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 bath home that can sleep up to 8 comfortably. This home includes fully equipped chef's kitchen, large detached game room, gas fire pit, screened in porch for alfresco dining and expansive backyard. There is a brand new, very comfortable sofa sleeper in the living room.

Perfect for group getaways or family vacations. Located just a few blocks from Main Street.

A 7% City of Fredericksburg hotel tax is included in the nightly rate.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay! The location was ideal, and we were thrilled to spot two small deer gracefully grazing in the front yard in the evening-it was a nice surprise. The house was immaculate, equipped with everything we needed to cook from home. This property had everything we needed. Lots of towels, extra blankets, kitchen with all amenities, coffee, creamer, great game room. It was cute and clean and perfect for our family which included a 2 and 3 year old.

Girl’s weekend!

This was the perfect house for a girl’s weekend in Fredericksburg! We enjoyed the house and the backyard fire pit! The screened in porch was fantastic on the cool nights we were there. Would definitely come back to stay again!

Couples Weekend Getaway

The house was more beautiful than the pictures. In a great quiet neighborhood. Loved waking up and having coffee on the screened in porch, listening to the birds. Sitting around the fire pit visiting. The time at the house was as much fun as the shopping!

Beautiful Home

We were here over the Labor Day Weekend, and our stay was absolutely amazing. This home is beautiful and very clean. It’s also is a good neighborhood and close to downtown. We will definitely stay here again.

Bachelor Weekend

We had planned a weekend getaway to Joshua Creek Ranch, where we also intended to play a round of golf in Comfort. However, we decided to extend our trip at the last minute. Tim and Randee were incredibly helpful and prompt in their response, allowing us to add an extra day to our itinerary. The house and its amenities were excellent, and we would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Family Weekend

This property was very welcoming and updated with lots of amenities to keep us comfortable and entertained. The beds were great and the location was convenient for our busy days full of shopping, eating, and church. In the evenings we enjoyed the game room and grill where we made steaks and burgers. The kids took advantage of the backyard by throwing the football around. We got exactly what we were looking for - quality family time. The house and hosts were 5 stars all the way.

It was perfect!

It was exactly what we were looking for! It was close to the shops and restaurants but also tucked away in a quiet neighborhood offering a sweet home away from home experience. The town of Fredricksberg is a unique destination with plenty to see and do but having a fun home to come back to each day was a double bonus! Honestly, some of my favorite highlights of trip happened in the game room playing ping-pong and pool with the family and while it was too rainy to sit around the fire-pit under the string lights at night, we made up for it by hanging out on the screened in porch in the mornings, listening to the birds while drinking our coffee. It was such a nice stay, absolutely no complaints, definitely recommend it!

Beautiful, clean, cozy

Everything in the VRBO description of this house is true, and so are all of the positive reviews. We booked the house on an impulse, following a family loss and in need of a change of scenery and pace. Sometimes you stay at a hotel or rental and it just doesn’t feel right. This home suited us and our need for comfort and serenity during a time of grief.The hosts thought of all the details and we felt like cherished guests staying at a friend’s home. We will be back. Fredericksburg Gem for Wedding Planning Bliss

We traveled to Fredericksburg for a wedding tasting with a local chef and needed a comfortable spot for our family of six. This home was absolutely perfect. The kitchen was spacious and great for cooking and serving, which was a must for us. Each couple had their own room, and the whole house had plenty of space to spread out. Everything was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the location—just minutes from Main Street—made it easy to enjoy some shopping and fun while we were in town.The host was fantastic—very responsive before our stay, and the check-in process was seamless. There was even an instruction book in the kitchen that answered most of our questions. We had a small issue when we first arrived, but Tim was there within 20 minutes and had it fixed right away—great customer service.If I had to give one small suggestion, it would be to update the pots and pans and maybe offer a few more options for folks who love to cook, like we do. That said, for those who prefer DoorDash, it’s definitely not a deal breaker. The home has been beautifully updated, and it felt like the perfect home base for our trip. This will definitely be our go-to property whenever we’re in Fredericksburg!

The house was perfect location far enough from the main street that you don't get alot of traffic but close enough if you want to go you can get there quickly.I love the outdoor entertainment area and the whole house was spacious that none of us felt like we were crowded.
