Had a great time at this property. Every detail was considered including blankets for lounging on the couch, comfortable linens, fluffy towels (and a lot of them), and a fully equipped kitchen. The decor was very charming and perfect for a weekend in the Texas Wine Country. The property owners said they have been working on making the house comfortable in terms of temperature and you can see the evidence of that. It’s difficult to do in an older home that was built before central AC existed. During the 100 degree summer temps, we had all the AC units and dehumidifiers going. We noticed some temp differences where some rooms were a lot warmer than others, but again, you can tell that there have been investments in this area. As far as location goes, we were within walking distance to the town’s Main Street in a quiet neighborhood, across from a park. The Main Street is long, so be aware you’ll be on the end closer to Hondo’s. I actually like that area a lot, but some people like to be on the other end. We come to Fredericksburg several times a year, and I would definitely visit the property again and any of the other properties run by the property owner.
