LOCATION - 7.4 miles south of downtown Fredericksburg
HOSTS - Cottage all to yourselves; there is another larger home on the property approximately 200 feet from the cottage that might be occupied during your stay
SLEEPS - 4 people; 2 Queen bedrooms
BATH - 2 baths; one bath has a walk-in shower and the other has a bathtub w/a shower
KITCHEN - Fully-equipped updated kitchen w/a Keurig
BREAKFAST - No breakfast but coffee and teas are provided
AMENITIES - Flatscreen in living area w/ Netflix, WiFi, wood burning stove (available winter months only), washer/dryer, front covered porch w/ seating a side deck w/ table chairs and a gas grill, fire pit, located on acreage

Please keep in mind that there is an additional pet fee. If you do bring a dog, please bring a crate for your dog and crate him or her in your absence from the house, do not allow the dog on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of its waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

We had a great stay at Foxtrot Cottage. We had a visit from a beautiful fox our first evening while sitting on the porch. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. The beauty and quiet was amazing. It’s centrally located to so many things.

Another lovely stay at Foxtrot Farm

This stone house out not too far in the country south of Fredericksburg was again a perfect place to stay. Spacious, comfortable, immaculate, nice window views, and stylishly furnished appropriately for Texas. HEB is on the way into town, and the house is easy to find, even at night. Couldn't have asked for more.

Perfect

The Perfect Cottage for a Relaxing Getaway

The cottage was even better than we expected it to be. Though it appeared small from the outside, the interior was spacious enough for two couples and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Very clean and well taken care of. The appliances and interior were practical and functional with an eye for details. We loved how quiet it was and the deck was perfect for some morning yoga. We will definitely try to stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

A magic Christmas getaway

This was our third stay at Foxtrot Farm over Christmas & it was just as lovely as ever. We love walking the property with our dog before cosying up by the wood burner inside. The cottage has all the mod cons you need for a home from home getaway including plenty in the kitchen to help prep a nice dinner. You will be pleasantly surprised when you step inside at the thoughtful decor & cleanliness. Love this place like it was our own & will keep coming back as long as we can.

PERFECT GETAWAY!

Foxtrot Farm is a perfect getaway for a couple or small family. Much better than those mini houses. You are removed from the hustle of downtown Fredricksburg yet just a short 5-10 minute drive. The exterior is an old farmhouse (which appealed to us) but the interior is upgarded with the latest amenities. Nice porches to kick back, enjoy wildlife, and listen to the wind. Owners very responsive, had no issues at all.

Quiet and right sized

The area is a peaceful break from the crowds to unwind and enjoy life, yet close to dining, events, and shopping in Fredericksburg or Kerrville to keep you entertained for the stay. The house is sized just right for a couple's retreat or a family's with a couple of kids. Pet friendly made it an obvious choice for us.

Hill Country Perfection!

Comfy with great decor and very well provisioned with everything we could need. Just the right distance from town, far enough to enjoy wildlife & country peace but just a short drive to town. Gastehaus Schmidt was great too, friendly & helpful. We took a break from burst pipes & Sheetrock repairs in Houston & returned recharged.

Nice place but …

I've stayed here several times and love the quiet country setting. The only thing it needs is more comfortable seating in the living room. The furniture is pretty worn and not comfortable.

We loved our stay!

We spent valentines weekend with another couple and loved this home. Out of town about 7 miles. Perfect for two couples plenty of room. Super clean. We cooked dinner the first night had everything we needed at the house. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Will defiantly come back!

Great location and property. Well appointed rooms, not overdone. Really enjoyed the porch in the mornings and evenings. Only complaints are no regular coffee pods, only de-caf & the living room chairs are low to the ground and uncomfortable to us. Great property and will be back!

Perfect country spot

The house and grounds were exactly as advertised and superb. We saw a scarlet tanager and a painted bunting while we were there. My only suggestion is to have hangers for your guests. The garbage disposal leaks, so we were afraid to use it after one time. We definitely will return!!
